Sanctuary county releases rape suspect who immediately targets victim again: ICE

An Oklahoma sheriff’s department defied ICE and released an accused rapist from jail this week — and within hours he was back at the door of his alleged victim, the agency said Thursday, saying the county’s sanctuary policy put the woman at risk.

Antonio Ulises Perez was charged with first-degree rape on Sept. 30, and made bond early Wednesday morning. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had asked that he be transferred to the custody of deportation officers, but the sheriff’s department refused, and released him instead.

“Within a few hours of being released, this illegal alien was back at the home of the rape victim where he was free to re-victimize her and harm other members of the community,” said Marc Moore, director of ICE’s Dallas field office.

He said deportation officers were able to track Mr. Perez down and he is now in custody awaiting deportation proceedings.

The county sheriff’s department did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the incident.

Exactly, liberal leftist Democrat politicians are responsible for this fiasco across the country.

Notice the county wasn’t named in this article and I didn’t find it in a search.

How does someone get out on bond with a charge of 1st degree rape? Normally, the bond is so high for this type of crime and this being an illegal? Where did he get the resources to bond out?

What county? What Sheriff? What a terribly written article devoid of nearly all the facts of the case.

So, does that mean if I change my name to Jose and claim to be from Central America that I will no longer have to post bail or stand trial for any crimes I care to commit?

If I were a relative of the rape victim I think I would seriously consider hanging around until I found that sheriff somewhere alone. And then I would reason with him via baseball bat.

I honestly think we have reached the point where vigilante justice is the only chance we have for survival. And I mean vigilante justice on the perps like the sheriff as well as the illegal aliens who are attacking Americans. Until these law enforcement officials and politicians live in fear of the American people they will not stop doing this.

I was not aware that OK had sanctuary localities that defy federal law.
Local officials that refuse to cooperate with removal of illegal aliens need to face federal charges.

Oklahoma City in Oklahoma County

ICE arrests Salvadoran alien charged with rape who went to victim’s house immediately after Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office failed to honor ICE detainer

OKLAHOMA CITY – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Antonio Ulises Perez, a 38-year-old illegal alien from El Salvador charged with first degree rape, Wednesday, after the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) failed to honor an ICE detainer and released him from custody.

Almost immediately following his release from the Oklahoma County Jail Oct. 9, Ulises Perez went to the home of the woman he is alleged to have raped.

Under federal law, ICE has the authority to lodge immigration detainers with law enforcement agencies who have custody of individuals arrested on criminal charges and who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable aliens. The detainer form advises law enforcement agencies to notify ICE in advance of release and to maintain custody of the alien for a brief period of time so that ICE can take custody of that person in a safe and secure setting.

Under this authority, ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the OCSO Oct. 8 requesting that they transfer custody of Ulises Perez to ICE in the event he was scheduled to be released from OCSO custody. However, OCSO refused to honor the immigration detainer in direct contravention of federal immigration law and released Ulises Perez from their custody.

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated event. A few months ago, Oklahoma County decided to no longer honor ICE detainers and began releasing criminal aliens back into the local community at the expense of law-abiding citizens.
“It is unconscionable that someone who is sworn to uphold the law would find it acceptable to release an alleged rapist who is illegally present in the U.S. back into the community when there are other options available under federal immigration law,” said Marc Moore, field office director for ICE Dallas. “Within a few hours of being released, this illegal alien was back at the home of the rape victim where he was free to re-victimize her and harm other members of the community. Fortunately, ICE deportation officers were able to quickly locate this individual and safely take him back into custody.”

On Sept. 30, Ulises Perez was arrested by the OCSO and charged with first degree rape. On Oct. 8, ICE interviewed Perez in person, and lodged an immigration detainer with the OCSO, advising them to transfer custody of Ulises Perez to ICE in the event that he was scheduled to be released from local custody. On Oct. 9 at approximately 3 a.m., the active detainer was not honored, and the OCSO released Ulises Perez on bond from the Oklahoma County Jail. On Oct. 9, ICE deportation officers arrested Ulises Perez in Oklahoma City. He remains in ICE custody pending disposition of his immigration proceedings.

They need to be arrested and charged, there are laws that they can be charged under.

In a sanctuary city or county if you are an illegal alien who has committed a serious felony you do not need to post bond if immigration officials are coming for you. It is a get-out-of-jail-free card.
