I am a shift working frontline supervisor so I get overtime.
I have 35 years in, have a full pension, and a well funded 401K plan so I figure I will put two more years in to pay off what debt I have and bid the place farewell.
You know it depends on the millenial. I see some who are hard workers in the trades makeing bank and also hard hard workers in the tech sector who are creative and cleaning up.
My son and his friends, work hard all week.
Hang in there. I’ve been lucky and only have had to deal with 1 semi toxic boss over my working career. He only lasted a couple of years until he wore out his welcome..
LOL, he sure does seem to enjoy certain parts of it, that is for sure!
My philosophy is you have to make your own rewards and appreciate them. Waiting for someone to give you rewards and appreciate you is a formula for dissatisfaction.
All Americans where I work.
We actually tried to interview Indians (dot, not Cleveland). Far too arrogant and hate baseball. One lectured us on the superiority of Indians and cricket. Needless to say, he wasnt hired.
Hint: if you are interviewing for a baseball position, you better like baseball.
