German media named the killer as 27-year-old far-right activist Stephan Balliet and online streaming site Twitch said it was ‘working urgently’ to remove video of the rampage which he broadcast live on its platform.
It showed him taking a bomb from his car and trying to blow up a gate at the side of the building. When a woman confronts him, asking if his behaviour was ‘really necessary’, he shoots her dead.

On the woman confronting the guy...she actually turns to run away, and is shot in the back. A second person is then targeted, and the shotgun jams...giving this guy a chance to get away.
If you go and watch the video clips of the street shooting from this guy, his shotgun appears to continually jam, and has to manually clear it.
Nutcase? He’s another guy on a manefesto agenda (like the Christchurch guy, and that Norwegian mass-shooter Anders Breivik). His belief is that he will trigger a revolution to occur.

This looks legit, especially the weapons. This is one evil bastard! Thank god he was also not sufficiently organized and prepared. Best of all, he had to rely on what looks like DIY weapons and ammo. I shudder to think what would have happened had he been able to get the real stuff.

When these nutcases commit murder they may think that they’ll start a revolution of some kind but all they do is make the powers that be crack down more on liberties and freedoms. A real revolution is well organized and just.

I am very sorry about the lady who was shot in the street. She seems very honorable. May she have a place in the world to come.

More to the point that he went after a gun free zone and could go on a rampage no matter how deffective his weapon,
German synagogues do not have armed congregation, they mostly are gun free zones. The best they have is an Israeli volunteer security guard at the entrance who is not armed, sometimes Polizei inside in Berlin, but only in the biggest outfits.
The cost of a concealed weapon permit in Germany is $50,000 and only handed out to high value execs
There are a number of armed persons at that synagogue, as well as two security guards and a camera operator.
It says no guards posted at Synagogue.
