Among the other revelations in 'Deep State' is that former deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein had the support of two cabinet colleagues for invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Stewart claims that it was former chief of staff John Kelly and former Attorney General Jeff Sessions who said they might back it.
Stewart claims that Rosenstein was so concerned about Trump that he twice offered to McCabe to wear a wire to record Trump, not once as previously reported.
Rosenstein supposedly told McCabe: 'I never get searched, no one ever searches me. I could record the President'.
McCabe was stunned and when he got back to his colleagues he told them: 'You're not going to believe this'.
One of them looked like he was going to have a heart attack and said: 'That's a bridge too far. We're not there yet'.
James B. Stewart's new book Deep State: Trump, the FBI, and the Rule of Law is out today.

Thats straight out of 1984. What a bunch of fools. It is so easy to trick and intimidate people once you have that official government status.
Trump should have appointed no senator to the cabinet, and we wouldn’t have the leftist Doug Jones had he done so.
Is there some reason we should believe anything coming from this nutty coup apologist, James B Stewart?
That’s what happens when you cross a weasel and a snake.
Get a rope.
That worm better find a rock to hide under. Fast.
The author of this book, James Stewart, is one of the lying ring of reporters and ‘sources’ that helped in the effort to frame Steven Hatfill for the 2001 anthrax attacks. Hatfill was awarded millions in damages after that fiasco...which Mueller was involved in.
Stewart is a lib. No reason to take his word for anything.
Nothing caused him to "turn coat." He was a decoy, to throw the Deep State off track while he hired investigators to do the work behind the scenes with no leaks. Huber, Durham, and Barr are about to release their reports soon and it's all thanks to Sessions' due diligence and not camera-hogging walking perps like FReepers want him to do.
Pure BS.
he should never have been appointed. Only good to come from it is the keebler elf revealed his true colors.... at the cost of a senate seat and Mueller.
TRUST SESSIONS, TRUST THE PLAN...pfft
Well there ya go.
Fake News!
Agree.
Why are ANY posters, here, believing this lib hack?
Speaking of which...the author’s connection to the anthrax investigation, Amerithrax, is interesting in light of this lawyer Mark Zaid’s group ‘Whistleblower Aid’ that is getting involved with the defense of these possibly imaginary ‘whistleblowers’ that so far are doing everything but come clean on their complaints about Trump’s July 25, 2019 call with the new Ukrainian leader.
Zaid or one of his legal associates was involved in the scare against the anthrax vaccine, as was Dr Meryl Nass, a Cuban-trained leftwing nut. Zaid won a class action suit or something like that over the vaccine. Dr Nass or her associate Rosenberg wrote an article in the communist Red Flags Weekly of all things which Pelosi and other progressive caucus dems used to try to accuse Hatfill of being responsible, IIRC, for an anthrax outbreak in Rhodesia, and smeared him as a racist, etc.
Hmmmm. I guess “Q” shouldn’t have trusted Sessions, huh”
