I had separate history teachers in high school and college tell me almost identical stories about their service in Korea. Both were junior officers commanding tanks near the Yalu River when the Chinese overran them. They must have seen horrible things, and with profound sadness both questioned their own ability to lead. They have since passed, and I’m sorry I never got them together.
And yes, the complete Holocaust story should be told. It does not diminish any of the victims.

At least they mentioned non Jewish Poles and Slavs, proving the exclusion of Jews was deliberate, not ignorance or a mistake.
