Your Confederate heritage offends me. My people served in The Army of The Potomac. You lost Reb, get over it. I’m an American. What are you?
I’m certainly not psychotic, unlike you. The United States recognized all veterans of the Civil War as being legitimate combatants. Why can’t you? Get over it! Better yet, learn some history.
‘You lost Reb, get over it.’
yes, they did, as well as fomenting rebellion and starting hostilities; however, treating them as outright traitors is wrong on its face, as they did peaceably return to the Union...
Well “your people” can go !@#$ themselves. Does that offend you? Good.
What a petty and absurd comment! I’m from the north, but my antecedents were from the south, and would have fought on the confederate side. ALL soldiers involved, Union and Confederate, sacrificially served. Some may have done so for the wrong reasons, but most felt they were being patriotic, and defending a righteous cause. Most fought bravely, and many gave their lives. To tear down the monuments raised up in their honor, is a slap in the face to their descendants and the towns and states which honored their service. Shame on you.
