White House acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney thinks the impeachment process will turn into a huge political victory for President Trump, according to a new report.
In a senior staff meeting last week, Mulvaney reportedly said he believes the president could win 45 states in 2020, three sources who heard his prediction told Axios, noting that he wasnt joking or even exaggerating.
Mulvaney also believes that the longer the impeachment process drags on, the better it is, politically, for Trump, these sources added. Mulvaney did not stipulate which 5 states he thought Trump would still lose when he made these comments, a source who heard them said.
His view appears to be based more on instinct than polling data. I have seen no polling that supports his prediction, and at this early stage, responsible polling analysts are extremely wary of predicting which party will benefit more from impeachment in 2020.
But it's possible Mulvaney is echoing the ebullience emanating from the Trump campaign. They are raising breathtaking sums online by telling supporters to give money to help Trump fight the Democrats trying to impeach him. (Axios)

I think OR, WA might be in play. Not CA, NY or IL.
Trumps social media and voter outreach programs are far better than four years ago; and much better than any previous candidate. All those people who registered in an attempt to get tickets to his rallies provide their email and cell phone numbers. Trump likely gets 10-50k new contacts for every rally.
His social media guy is the best in the business. No one will be able to compete. Just think of how many people will be manning phone banks with the phone numbers of actual Republican voters for the GOTV efforts.
Those who only voted twice last time will up it to three times 1n 2020!
Only the dumb ones will be swayed by the democrat’s impeachment thing. A smart person will see right through it.
Nah; as those lemmings are going to let someone else do the voting for them; as they do everything else.
Will Freak "C" appeal enough to group "F" to get them to come out to vote at all in the fall?
When ALL of the DEM candidates are unanimous in "We hate Trump!" then that will no longer be on the table.
"What ELSE ya got for us" will be the cry.
I think you are right here.
The smart ones (Yes; there are some) in the Dem party have to position themselves for 2024; given that they believe 2020 is a lost cause by now.
They doubt that the Conservatives can come up with yet another Trump type candidate 5 years from now, so their chance to get back in POWER is then.
