Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is worth an estimated $69 billion, stated in a recent internal Q&A that he sympathizes with Bernie Sanders view on billionaires, and agrees that no one deserves to have that much money.
CNBC reports that during a livestreamed employee Q&A call this week, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg discussed a number of topics including politics. Zuckerberg was asked to respond to Senator Bernie Sanderss comment that billionaires should not exist, and gave a surprising answer given that Zuckerberg himself is worth $69 billion.
I understand where hes coming from, Zuckerberg said. I dont know that I have an exact threshold on what amount of money someone should have but on some level no one deserves to have that much money.
Zuckerberg was also asked about comments he made during two separate leaked internal Q&A sessions he had with employees in July. Zuckerberg is quoted as saying: You have someone like Elizabeth Warren that thinks that the right answer is to break up the companies I mean, if she gets elected president then I would bet that we will have a legal challenge, and I would bet that we will win the legal challenge.
Zuckerberg adds: And does that still suck for us? Yeah. I mean, I dont want to have a major lawsuit against our own government. I mean, thats not the position that you want to be in when youre, you know, I mean
Its like, we care about our country, and want to work with our government and do good things. But look, at the end of the day, if someones going to try to threaten something that existential, you go to the mat and fight.

When are you starting to give others what you do not deserve?
People should be allowed to make as much money as possible because it only benefits other people in terms of investment, creating jobs, you name it. Liberals try to make people believe that billionaires are created by stealing money from other people making other people poor. That’s not how it happens unless you are a Clinton dealing with Haitian aid money. People like Zuckerturd CREATE their wealth. They do not take it from anybody and if this Turd thinks he is too rich, then give it to me. I will quite happily hold it for him.
And all from a freakin website, a program that does exactly what any email can.
Yeah — If he’d lend me a million or so, I could help my kids buy decent houses, and pay off their school loans and maybe I could quit my job and retire early and enjoy my golden years in a cute little cottage on a lake somewhere.
The US Government does accept donations, Mr. Cuckerberg how much will you be donating ?
These are the words of a person who has not known how hard survival is for most of society.
As well, he either has no concept at all, of the liberty ending transfer of sovereignty to permanent government thugs
and bureucraticc lords, in their war to bring us all into a communist totalitarian state, or he understands it all well, and is advocating government thugs have absolute control and power over socierty.
He is literally advocating giving government power to dictate how much value a person is allowed to have!
He is advocating subjugation and slavery to an all powerful centralized sovereign.
I don’t believe he is that dumb, or willing to become a slave, so he is using his status and value to dictate how the rest of society lives. Could be he has so many left wing buddies working with him, he knows subjugation of society also brings with it the elimination of future competition.
Like all lefties, he is motivated by the evil desire to subjugate the world to his will.
Number one, most of Zuckerberg’s money is on paper....in the form of company stock.
Second, who the hell is Zuckerberg, Warren, crazy Bernie, or anyone else to say how much money a person should or should not have, it’s none of their business!
Third, if short-assed Zuckerberg wants to assuage his guilt, he can sell $2 billion worth of his stock and send it to me. I would be happy to take it off his hands!
And fourth, the likelihood of a bus load of super-models banging on my front door and begging me to father their babies is more likely than that communist pale-face fake Indian Elizabeth Warren becoming president!
Like to hear how he would feel if he was only worth 1 million.
I deserve every penny—I promise to enjoy it with no guilt!
Came to post the same thing. I’ll move in across the lake!
Hey mark, you pimple faced nerd. Set an example.
If Zuckerberg wants to merit the mere praises of men he could give away all that he has to the poor without molesting anyone else by heaping more power on government to harm them.
Fine Zuck. Give yours away.
years ago I suggested a tax law where whatever taxes were imposed and whatever exemptions or deductions were available that Congrescritters would pay twice the rate and receive half the benefit respectively. Also that this penalty would continue if after leaving office they became professional lobbyist.
I ean, it is not like they’re there to feather their nests or anything so they go for it, right?
deserves? no. you have to earn it.
those that earn it aren’t scrooge mcduck ... they aren’t going to roll around in their billions in their bedroom. they’re going to at least put it in the bank... which will get lent out to other business owners who will pay their employees, or invest in more R&D, or etc.
Most likely they will invest it in the stock market or possible let it ride as venture capital for a new company. either way, the money again helps fuel other companies... companies who’ve been investigated and believed to have the highest chance of success, and therefore highest yield, going into the future.
this is how capitalism helps to ferret out those companies best suited to survive
this is also the reason why capitalism succeeds where socialism fails... the decentralized control of investment capital through individual scrutiny and self interest (to earn more money via good investments)
Good. Give me some of the money you made showing me stupid ads about things that I don’t want.
Fine. I’ll take 500 million of your stash. That way I won’t be no steenking billionaire.
To quote William Munny: “Deserve’s got nothing to do with it.”
“He says this crap yet he holds on to his money.”
I would gladly start a line at his table so he could write me a check if he seems to feel he shouldn’t have it. And while he’s at it, he should start donating to groups that badly need it. He might get a good thing said about him. Otherwise.........I doubt it.
