Oh, I agree with both of you that ICIG is a snake and broke protocol to override his CoC to push this complaint to Schiff. Withdrawing the complaint would be a CYA move on his part. Failure to do so just makes him look worse, as he has publicly stated he was misled. He could be fired over this if Trump and Maguire have the stones.

I suspect he will be like the FISA Court Judges who were “misled” by Comey, McCabe and Rosenstein, and never complained.

It's not his to withdraw. He can opine that he errer in finding it in his jurisdiction, and I suggest that would be a wise "admission" (cough cough he lying about that too), but once it hits "the deciders" in the House, it can't be unrung.

Only pres may fire. 50 USC 3033(c)(4)

(4) The Inspector General may be removed from office only by the President. The President shall communicate in writing to the congressional intelligence committees the reasons for the removal not later than 30 days prior to the effective date of such removal. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to prohibit a personnel action otherwise authorized by law, other than transfer or removal.

He'll be fired. He's on par with Strzok, Comey, and the rest of the plotters.
