Genre: Clickbait.

Subgenre: “wish it were true”

The headline says that Schiff BROKE HOUSE RULES.

But then the article includes a quote from Devin Nunes saying Schiff withheld the information from the House Intel Committee. Notably Nunes, who would actually know the rules, doesn’t say this violated any rule.

The quote claiming that Schiff violated committee rules comes from a tweet by a former assistant secretary of defense, not from anyone in the house or working in the house, and in the tweet she doesn’t cite any rule that was broken.

A more accurate headline would be “Person who used to work for the government claims knowledge of House rules and tweets that Schiff BROKE THEM.”

Typical GP story. But, at some point you need to fight fire with fire.

If your political opponents are making up stuff about you, you must do the same back.

Failing to do so means you’ll lose every single time. Ever hear the expression “A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its boots on.”?

It’s a new reality from the Twitter-verse. About time republicans woke up.
