Good for him forgiving her. But there was no excuse for her to being focused on her “texting while driving” activities with her co-worker that she was having a sexual relationship with instead of concentrating on driving up to the correct floor for parking where her apartment was located.
And then she breaks into the apartment instead of “calling a manager” or some other sensible solution first that people usually take if they notice they can’t get into an apartment.
And then worst of all she shoots the “burglar” instead of following standard police procedures of distancing yourself and calling for backup.
She was a bad cop with a really bad attitude and danger to society. She did 3 very reckless behaviors BEFORE she spotted the “burglar” and had plenty of opportunity to make sure that scenario wouldn’t have ever happened. And then worst of all she totally screwed up & then afterwards tried to make excuses dishonestly. She wasn’t your typical civilian. She was a cop with 4 years experience and should’ve known better.
I’m a firm believer in protecting the Second Amendment rights of people. But in the case of her she should never be allowed anywhere near a gun again in this life.
I’ve done the same thing in trying to get into what I thought was my apartment but it turns out I was at the wrong door.
Nope I didn’t try to break the door in. What I did was start thinking about how I was going to contact the management to figure out what was wrong. And in the meantime I figured out that I was at the wrong apartment. That’s what normal people do.
Now people with very bad attitudes and feelings of entitlement might do something else, like break in. And then when she saw the homeowner armed with a bowl of ice cream she killed him so he’d put down that weapon. Hmmm that can be a dangerous weapon if you eat too many bowls of it or give too many other people too many bowls but please don’t tell Ben/Jerry I said this because it might offend them.
No argument with your analysis of the case —- that being said my prayer is that this 5 min VIDEO is what everyone thinks about whenever this case is discussed on the media etc.
To not do so diminishes the powerful testimony of forgiveness and turning tragedy into triumph. Additionally my prayer is that Amber Guyger does some Amazing forgiving of her own out of gratefulness for the love and forgiveness she has received To forgive AS we have been forgiven is what God expects of us.
Amber didn’t break in as the door was ajar I herd that the door was reported to the apartment complex maintenance for not locking. If that is true I hope the family sue the apartment complex. Amber still got a just conviction but I don’t doubt her remorse. Evidently the family don’t either.
Its sick she could be out in 5 years. Regular folks’ lives are worth jack in this gynocentric country.

shooting statistics bear out that police officers are more likely to injure innocent bystanders far more often than civilian shooters. Most are lousy shooters in general and several have bad attitudes. Many don’t of course!
