Much of impeachment inquiry may be conducted in secret
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/02/19 | Susan Ferrechio

“Impeachment will uncover the truth,” House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters, a California Democrat, tweeted Tuesday.

But a decision by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to hand off the impeachment inquiry to the Intelligence Committee means key parts of the inquiry will be kept secret.

The House Intelligence Committee, led by Chairman Adam Schiff, is scheduled on Friday to interview Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael K. Atkinson.

Atkinson is one of the most important witnesses in the impeachment inquiry. He conducted the initial review into a whistleblower allegation that President Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate corruption allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden and that the White House attempted to conceal records of the July 25 call.

But the public won’t get to see Atkinson testify because the Intelligence Committee will hold Friday’s hearing behind closed doors.

We need a really good whistleblower. How much do they usually charge?

Try it Mad Max. You have been begging for it for years. You may just get it good and hard, Maxine.

The democrats are attempting to remove Pres. Trump from office for crimes Biden committed! If Biden had been an honest public servant, avoiding even the appearance of impropriety, then Pres. Trump would not need to investigate his crimes. This is all so ridiculous. We need to amend the constitution so that we can recall our congressional representatives.

The house majority needs to be suspended for not doing the job they were elected to do. They were not elected to remove Trump

Shouldn’t they vote to impeach first?

In secret?!

That’s not an impeachment inquiry.

It’s a star chamber.

As with the non-passed obamacare, Nancy will “deem” the President impeached.

Normally, you would have this vote, then the hearings in the House would start up. However, once you do this....subpoena powers also exist for the Republicans in these committees. Presently, they don’t have these powers. So the intent....whether right or wrong...is to pretend you are having regular inquiry panels, and try to vote this through to the House floor, without ever giving the Republicans in the House a chance to bring counter-evidence in.

Now, if you sit and think about it....this means that the Senate hearing (if they accept this paperwork)....could go on for months. There....Trump and his staff....plus the Republicans, could go and subpoena dozens of people.

With Roberts stuck as the moderator, there’s virtually nothing going to happen for that period of time with the Supreme Court. And if they really stall this through to January before they hand it to the Senate....well, this gets into April or May before it ends with the acquittal.

Actually the rats were elected to impeach Trump. They began screaming impeachment two days after the 2016 election. Hannity has tape on it.

From the NYT:

Impeachment Rules Say Senate Must Act, but Its Act Might Be a Swift Dismissal

______

This birdcage lining newspaper chooses to write: “The fusty rules of the Senate make clear that Republicans could not unilaterally stonewall articles of impeachment of Mr. Trump …….”

Being the crappy, stab in the back paper they are they used the word “fusty”. LOL

FUSTY -- smelling stale, damp, or stuffy, "the fusty odor of decay", stale, stagnant.

The NEW YORK TIMES needs to be burned to the ground.

And State Prosecutor Yagoda rightly accused the fourteen traitors of passing state secrets to Nazi Germany, conspiring with Russian industrialists overthrown by the glorious Red Revolution, and short-sheeting Stalin’s bed. Defense? They have no defense to crimes of such heinousness. Moscow Show Trials, 1937.

I disagree.

The 'Rat House was elected in 2018 precisely to destroy Donlad Trump. I was not alone, back in 2018, in telling people that's exactly what Nazi Pelosi would do if given power. They wanted to impeach; they were talking about it from November 9 2016 ... it was no secret that the 'Rats sole agenda was Impeach Trump.

And then they pull the next piece of garbage out of their magic bag ... The 'Rats can easily come up with five or six more years of pointless investigations of false accusations ... and then somebody else is President. It's called "running out the clock".
