There is the other extreme as well, that pretends anyone who marries must have a decade to figure out who is the perfect spouse so thay can have a perfectly planned life and live happily ever after they wasted a decade they could have been together already. There is long, historic precedent for marriage at an early age. Marriage and family are the most fundamental building blocks for a stable society.
