The State Departments inspector general is expected to brief staffers from several House and Senate committees on Wednesday afternoon about documents obtained from the departments Office of the Legal Adviser concerning documents related to the State Department and Ukraine, sources familiar with the planned briefing told ABC News.
Details of the briefing, expected to be conducted by Steve Linick, the inspector general at State, remain unknown. Linick is expected to meet with congressional staff in a secure location on Capitol Hill.
The unusual nature and timing during a congressional recess of the briefing suggest it may be connected to a recent intelligence community whistleblower allegation which describes, in part, the State Departments role in coordinating interactions between Rudy Giuliani, the presidents personal attorney, and Ukrainian officials.

Well I must admit throwing Most of the Democratic leadership in prison for Sedition and corruption would politically help President Trump.
And, it would also be Justice, and help restore Americans faith in the FBI.
So if I was Pelosi, Hillery, Biden etc I would be really upset.

Fox confirms that State Dept IG Steve Linick will come to CapHill to talk to Hse/Senate Cmtes about Ukraine. There is tension between Dems/State Dept about providing witnesses for testimony/documents as part of impeachment probe
There wasn't one during Hillary's time there.
what kind of gibberish is this? documents about documents?
.....about documents obtained from the departments Office of the Legal Adviser concerning documents related to the State Department and Ukraine,
Could be a CYA. The only ones with problems related to Ukraine are Democrats prior to the 2016 election.
Staffer's only? Sounds like they have gone into the locker room, down 21-3 and they are going to be given a pep talk.
God help us; it's all just a game.
Oh NOES! Very concerning.
God help us; it’s all just a game.
“Where was the State Departments inspector general during the Obama administration?”
In the Navy of the 1960’s, the standard answer for “where’s so and so?” was: He’s in the men’s room getting a sandwich.
This stinks. We haven’t heard from DOJ IG Horowitz for literally years on Obama era crimes while State IG whips something together on Trump admin in a few days/weeks.
This smells to me, but if the new head of the State Department has cleaned things up and thrown the fear of God into those remaining at the State Department and this turns out to be a pro-Trump briefing, I would celebrate all day long.
Where was the State Departments inspector general during the Obama administration?
Better question: Where is the DOJ IG during the Trump admin?
Staffer’s only? Sounds like they have gone into the locker room, down 21-3 and they are going to be given a pep talk.
Staffers do the real work on The Hill. Members just read whatever they write for them.
This smells to me
“obtained” from the departments Office of the Legal Adviser
“obtained” as in received from the Legal Adviser.......
or leaked to him from the legal Advisors office?
A dormant ineffectual corrupted government entity calls for an urgent briefing? Nothing good will come of this. Read tag line.
The Rats are lining up their kill shot and are doing a very effective job. One thing you know for sure, is this will not benefit Trump, otherwise it wouldn’t happen. The rats are keeping the pressure on nonstop, even if it’s just fluff, the public sees an endless stream of seemingly bad news.
Good point.
Im telling you when the indictments come out and the ball starts rolling they will all be sh##ing their pants and running to hide not running toward a micropho=ne with another collusion story
