Intelligence community watchdog debunks whistleblower conspiracy pushed by Trump
CNN ^

Posted on 09/30/2019 6:08:37 PM PDT by janetjanet998

ashington (CNN)The intelligence community inspector general is forcefully pushing back against assertions made by President Donald Trump and several Republican lawmakers about the whistleblower complaint that has rocked Washington in recent weeks.

In a rare statement released Monday, the inspector general addressed a false claim pushed by Trump and some of his allies on Capitol Hill, including House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy of California and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, that the whistleblower lacked firsthand knowledge of the conduct outlined in the complaint and therefore the allegations were based on "hearsay." But the statement from the inspector general made clear that the whistleblower was not simply communicating secondhand knowledge.

There is no necessity now for "first-hand information". They secretly changed the form between August 2019 and now. It was only uploaded and made available to intelligence community employees in the last couple of weeks. Check out these articles:

CNN loves to throw the word “debunk” around when they need to disappear inconvenient facts.

Of course the IG found the complaint “credible.” But that ENTIRELY misses the point. He did so because days before it was filed the standard was changed to allow for heresay. The whistleblower himself says he has no direct knowledge.

CNN used the word “debunk” though so it must mean we can turn off our brains. At least they didn’t use the words “fact check.” Then we really could have shut down.

“Debunked” seems to be a favorite word for dems. Questions about Hillary’s health are debunked, questions about Biden using his office to secure jobs for his son are debunked, anything untoward about the Clinton Foundation is also debunked.

But if you notice, ‘Trump collusion with Russia’ isn’t debunked. The Steele dossier is never referred to as ‘debunked’.

I read numerous docs on line and it’s clear to me this ICIG is the new Rosenstein.

Agreed. I've been saying similar about ICIG Michael Atkinson for the past week. Much like it's not important the voters who cast the votes, but who counts the votes, it's not who's important the whistleblower making the complaint, but the IG who evaluates the whistleblower complaint. Now that Atkinson has decided to get into this publicly, he's fair game and needs to answer equally publicly not to whether it's hearsay or not, but whether what's alleged in the report is true as he evaluated it is or is the same pile of steaming lies that the Steele dossier is. He opened the door to doing this in public and that's where at least the Senate Republicans should engage him. It cannot be done in secret.

2018 form IC IG – ICWSPUrgent Concern Disclosure Form Page ii IC IG ICWSP Form 401 Rev: 24MAY18 FIRST-HAND INFORMATION REQUIRED In order to find an urgent concern “credible , ” the IC IG must be in possession of reliable, first-hand information. The IC IG cannot transmit information via the ICWPA based on an employee’s second -hand knowledge of wrongdoing. This includes information received from another person, such as when a fellow employee informs you that he/she witnessed some type of wrongdoing. (Anyone with first-hand knowledge of the allegations may file a disclosure in writing directly with IC IG.) Similarly, speculation about the existence of wrongdoing does not provide sufficient legal basis to meet the statutory requirements of the ICWPA. If you think that wrongdoing took place, but can provide nothing more than second-hand or unsubstantiated assertions, IC IG will not be able to process the complaint or information for submission as an ICWPA.

So the Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson thinks his job is to police the President of the United States?

Where was the IG when they loaded pallets (Billions) in Cash on black planes to go to Iran?

The ICIG has no authority whatsoever over the President, and it has nothing to do with his job.

He’s nervous because people are asking why they changed a long standing policy (and precedent).

This IG is Dirty as the day is long.

The whistleblower has to be a member of the intelligence community so who in the IC authorized him/her to spy on the president?

That would be the only means of getting firsthand knowledge of the phone call.

Time to subpoena Gina Haspel.

Graham is asking whether whistleblower is associated with those who started spying on Trump. Lawyers don’t ask questions they don’t know answer to.

Did Graham just let the cat out of the bag? Hannity asked him if there is evidence spying on the Trump campaign was outsourced to other countries..His response

“I don’t know but we will find our more in 2 weeks’

WHAT HAPPENS IN 2 WEEKS?

Find out who recommended Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson.

It’ll be someone connected to FBi / DoJ / Intel

Jersey Gov Christie recommended Christopher Wray, ensuring the FBi would remain Trump opponents.
