Completely legal and normal, in fact part if the Executive branch duty.

The Democrat’s strategy is to present anything Trump does as illegal and expect half or more of the populace to not know better.

Remind me, wasn't Australia with its Commissioner (AKA UK Ambassador) partly responsible for the Sting operation coordinated with the Obama administration?

So, if I was Trump, I sure would want to know more about that as well.

This is a nothing burger, but it is being served up as the latest in a series of “fake news scandals” that is encouraging those not paying attention to the details to develop TDS.

Sounds like the president is desperately trying to get somebody, anybody to investigate what happend. Yet no one is. Just like with biden, there is a smoking gun of his bragging about it. Yet no investigation.

Right. As if a coup attempt against a sitting president is a personal thing...

But John Kerry’s last minute whirlwing trip pushing New Zealand on the Israel settlements vote at the UN was accepted by the press as just a trip to see Antarctic ice.

And like the call with the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, the discussion with Mr. Morrison shows the president using high-level diplomacy to advance his personal political interests.

The lies just never stop.

What Did Australia Get From the Clintons? - TruNews
https://www.trunews.com/article/what-did-australia-get-from-the-clintons

Jan 18, 2018 · The FBI has launched an investigation to determine the motives behind $88 million in taxpayer-funded contributions from Australia to the Clinton Foundation between the years 2006 and 2014. According to Australian investigative journalist Michael Smith, a former law enforcement officer, the FBI has asked him to provide documentation he has gathered related to his reporting on the potentially …

So the object of a witch hunt is somehow guilty of something if he investigates the investigators?

let’s see...
Trump asks for dirt on Mueller.
Doesn’t coerce, doesn’t blackmail - asks a question.

That’s worthy of a red headline on drudge?

BS. It’s not an offense unless he coerced the info.
Yknow.. like Biden did.

Let me see if I get this straight.

Our DOJ is looking into potential corruption and election interference matters that may involve foreign players.

In lieu of falling into multinational bureaucratic quagmires, the President decides to throw the full weight of the USA behind our DOJ to get help from our allies to resolve this mess.

This is an impeachable offense....

Unbelievable. These people are hell bent on starting a shooting war.

I assume the USA and Australia have had treaties in place for a long time where either country could call on the other to investigate possible corruption.

The NYT claims that Trump ‘pressed’ Australia, when the reality most likely is something like Trump said: “and by the way we are still looking into who manufactured the Russian Hoax and we would appreciate any help you can give us.”

It seems clear to me that the left is gearing up to characterize any efforts to assure the integrity of the upcoming election as Trump misusing his office for personal gain.

I see where they are going now. It is a conflict of interest for Trump to investigate his accusers as the chief law enforcement officer of the US. They are going to say he should have recused himself.
