A staffer for Rep. Adam Schiffs House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence took a trip to Ukraine last month sponsored and organized by the Atlantic Council think tank. The Atlantic Council is funded by and routinely works in partnership with Burisma, the natural gas company at the center of allegations regarding Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.
The Schiff staffer, Thomas Eager, is also currently one of 19 fellows at the Atlantic Councils Eurasia Congressional Fellowship, a bipartisan program that says it educates congressional staff on current events in the Eurasia region.
Eagers trip to Ukraine last month was part of the fellowship program and included nine other House employees. The bi-partisan visit, from August 24 to August 31, was billed as a Ukraine Study Trip, and culminated in a meeting with former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
The dates of the pre-planned trip are instructive. Eagers visit to Ukraine sponsored by the Burisma-funded Atlantic Council began 12 days after the so-called whistleblower officially filed his August 12 complaint about President Donald Trumps phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Schiffs House Intelligence Committee reportedly reached a tentative agreement in recent days for the so-called whistleblower to testify.

If that’s the case, Burisma was for all practical purposes funding a US Ambassador.
Or was it Obama’s next ambassador? Didn’t McFaul resign in 2014?
Pinchuk, big Clinton donor, Soros and Crowdstrike all involved with Atlantic Counsel.

That was just before Nunes learned what he did about unmasking and private contractors like Fusion GPS gaining access to NSC database.

Biden has accused Trump of trying to 'hijack' the campaign with unfounded assertions that he and Hunter had corrupt dealings in Ukrainian business Earlier this month, Biden denied speaking to his son about his overseas dealings. The photo, which was obtained by Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight shows Biden and Hunter posing alongside Devon Archer, who served on the board of Burisma Holdings with Hunter.
In 2014, then-Vice President Biden was at the forefront of American diplomatic efforts to support Ukraine's fragile democratic government as it sought to fend off Russian aggression and root out corruption. So it raised eyebrows when his son Hunter was hired to sit on the board of a Ukrainian gas company, a windfall moment that was part of a lucrative multi-nation consulting business.
Hunter was said to have joined Bursima because former President of Poland, Aleksander Kwasniewski, also a Burisma board member, urged him to do so. He supposedly also believed that helping Ukraine achieve energy independence would help protect the company from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Burisma Holdings had ties to then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, a pro-Russia leader, which raised eyebrows. But at the time, the Obama White House insisted that since the vice president's son was a private citizen, there was no conflict of interest. There has been no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing by either Biden.
Yet the matter is back in the spotlight following revelations that President Donald Trump prodded Ukraine's president to help him investigate any corruption related to Biden, now one of the top Democrats seeking to defeat Trump in 2020.
