Three white boys held down an African American girl and cut her hair at recess, and somehow, its Karen Pences fault.
Oh, except it didnt actually happen. And in fact, the story was pretty fishy right from the beginning, and people should have known.
First, an accusation was made by a black female student at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia. She alleged that three white boys had held her down at recess, insulted her, and cut her dreadlocks off with scissors.
This alleged incident supposedly happened at Immanuel Christian, a private Christian school where Second Lady Karen Pence happens to teach. Somehow, outlets decided not only that this story was credible but also that Pence's tangential involvement was relevant to the coverage.
SIXTH GRADERS HOLD DOWN CLASSMATE, CUT HER DREADLOCKS AT PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WHERE KAREN PENCE TEACHES, the screaming headline at Newsweek read. Similar headlines implicated Karen Pence in the incident at left-wing outlets ranging from NBC News to the Advocate.
But stop and think about this for a second: Even if you took the accusation completely at face value, and assumed it happened, what on Earth does that actually have to do with Karen Pence? How is mentioning her name even remotely relevant? The only possible interpretation is that she is somehow responsible, or that the Second Lady contributes to an environment of hate that makes these sorts of incidents more likely to happen.
This is liberal media bias at its worst: If Michelle Obama or Jill Biden had volunteered at a school where a crime or some bullying happened to take place later, no news outlet worth its salt would even have reported it as if the two were connected.
So this viral story smear of Karen Pence was pretty bogus from the beginning, in that the medias framing of it was extremely disingenuous. But as it turns out, it never even actually happened.
The Washington Post reports that the girl in question has admitted she made the incident up and that her accusations were false. Her family has issued a formal apology and retracted the accusation. The school has now acknowledged the fabrication as well.
Why, then, was it originally reported with such blind acceptance and an utter absence of critical thinking? Because, similar to the Jussie Smollett hoax, it suited the liberal medias narrative: That America is an evil, racist country, and the Trump administration can in some way be blamed for incidents of hate.
The connection is extremely weak? So what. The story turns out not to be true? Shoulder shrug. The left-wing media outlets in question might update their stories. A few will even probably issue retractions. But theyll still all do the same thing next time a story like this rolls around.
They got what they wanted.
"Karen Pence is a Nazi, too!!!"
Enemedia BS model is collapsing.
Wasn’t there another story about Karen Pence and this school? Something along the lines of, liberals were outraged she went to a Christian school to volunteer, instead of a public school??
I recall the liberals were outraged, but forget the details of exactly why they were outraged at Karen Pence’s connection to that school.
Well, we’ve heard entire ecosystems are collapsing. Perhaps this is one such ecosystem.
If Karen Pence, or ANY wife of ANY republican VP decided to open a Lemonade Stand for charity, the Dems would spread rumors that she uses a dirty syringe to inject Rat Poison into each and every lemon herself. Worst part, is a lot of stupid people would say that they believed it.
Wild animals backed in a corner become desperate and attack anything!
The hateful leftists there attacked Christians, White Men, White People, men, Betsy Devos, the Pence Family and the rich and Trump creating all this hate.
One thing that made me laugh was the attacks on the rich. The targeted boys are rich because they go to that school but I guess the girl and her family are not.
The hatred that Moochelle foments is the real danger.
Boop-Oop-a-Doop!
Well, with the lemonade stand issues, we would see the media and liberals demanding a lot of documentation:
1. did they pay their employees at least minimum wage?
2. did they pay the required social security and workman’s comp payment, unemployment insurance, etc?
3. did they have a 401K retirement plan for their workers?
4. Were their workers legal? Immigration status documentation needed?
5. Desire to see an income statement and balance sheet, along with other financial documents.
6. Which charities were the funds contributed to? Some charities are verboten, others are approved of by the liberals. It’s important to know what they did with the proceeds.
7. Were the lemons organically grown, in an agricultural setting in which no fossil fuels were used?
We could add more, but you get the point. We can’t so much as open a lemonade stand without severe liberal/media scrutiny.
That poor woman. The look on her face as she decides each day, which of the two front doors on her house to go through.
There are a few pages of disgusting yelp reviews about this school from people who never went there. They all need to be flagged and removed.
The one that leads to her private residence, not the one the tenants use when they sublease a room.
I recall the liberals were outraged, but forget the details of exactly why they were outraged at Karen Pences connection to that school.
The outrage was caused by the name Karen Pence having the word Pence in it
Those things are always hoaxes.
That girl should be expelled. I wonder if she is going to that private school for free, compliments of the parents whose children have been smeared - and make no mistake, they are ALL guilty of the hoax that girl lied about, all smeared with the same ugliness of racism. I wonder if some of the tuition is set aside for indigent students.
Oh yes! All the News folks would pretend to be taking it all very seriously too.
When voluntary checking and appraising of a business go that much over the top, it’s best to just ignore the source.
This is what Trolling looks like.
