Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) will plead guilty to insider trading, for which he was indicted last August, according to Bloomberg.

Collins, his son Cameron, and Stephen Zarsky, the father of Cameron’s fiancée, were arrested in August 2018 and pleaded not guilty on charges of trading on non-public information about an Australian biotech company. Cameron Collins and Zarsky also plan to change their pleas, according to Bloomberg.

Collins, the first sitting representative to endorse President Trump in the 2016 Republican primaries, said after his arrest that he would "continue to fight the meritless charges brought against me and I look toward to having my good name cleared of any wrongdoing."

“I thought they were allowed to do it.”

So did I!

Maybe if in the course of whatever they do and some good hot tips come up, they can act on those tips to buy and more likely sell.

Yep! They got the spineless republicans by the walnuts! IF they would have helped trump drain the swamp from the get-go instead of supporting the investigation of the Russian hoax, I think they would’ve had the upper hand! They would’ve turned the tables around to investigate the rats instead! Sorry but them the facts! AND just NOW MCCONNELL says he has no choice but to take up impeachment..WHAT THE FREAKIN HELLLLLLLL! Ugh! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!

Why Congressional Insider Trading Is Legal - and Profitable ...

Why-congressional-insider-trading-legal-profitable Jul 22, 2017 - But there are more interesting questions to be asked about this seedy phenomenon. How does Congress get away with insider trading?

[That’s a myth. They were never allowed.]

They were always allowed to do it in the sense that no Congressman, Senator or associated aides had ever been prosecuted for it, despite trading data having been available to the SEC for querying ever since the computerization of the exchanges.

Bam! Da ta da! Right there in the headlines - GOP. Now, if it’d been a democrat, there’d be no mention of party.

We need to pray that God will not only give President Trump 4 more years, tho’ he deserves 8, but give him a Demonrat/RINO/NeverTrumpers proof Congress! Hope Ronna McDaniel is hustling Conservatives to run against the aforementioned thugs for 2020.

I don’t know when the Republicans are ever going to learn that they can’t get away with committing the same crimes that the democrats can get away with.

I could be wrong, but I thought they were allowed to do it for actions that Congress was about to take, like buying land in areas that Congress was going to make decisions on. I'm not sure it applies to insider knowledge of foreign business actions.
