DOJ employee in February 2017 predicted resistance by whistle-blowing, leaking to the press, and lodging internal complaints
What is happening now to President Trump was predictable. The plans were laid in plain sight, including the use of whistleblowers to disrupt the administration.
There was plenty of advance warning of various attempts to set up grounds for the impeachment of President Trump.
Consider this excerpt from an article published in Vanity Fair on February 1, 2017, twelve days after Trumps inauguration :
"Others, however, view resistance as a part of the job. 'Policy dissent is in our culture,' one diplomat in Africa, who signed the letter circulating among foreign diplomats, told The New York Times. We even have awards for it, in reference to the State Departments Constructive Dissent award. One Justice Department employee told the Post, 'Youre going to see the bureaucrats using time to their advantage,' and added that 'people here will resist and push back against orders they find unconscionable,' by whistle-blowing, leaking to the press, and lodging internal complaints. Others are staying in contact with officials appointed by President Obama to learn more about how they can undermine Trumps agenda and attending workshops on how to effectively engage in civil disobedience, the Post reports."
Let me emphasize that again: whistle-blowing, leaking to the press, and lodging internal complaints.
Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist noticed the trend back in the beginning. A few days before the inauguration, she wrote:
"Dwight Eisenhower warned that if we didnt stay vigilant, the military-industrial complex would start creeping into politics with pernicious motives all its own.
"The intelligence communitys war of leaks against Trump before hes even taken office is just the latest questionably politicized action in the decades since Eisenhowers farewell address. And its safe to say that the intelligence community pushing unproven and absurd allegations about a president-elects sexual perversions is probably way worse than anything Ike imagined.'
Far from discrediting Trump, this paints a worrisome portrait of the deep state gone rogue, desperate to stop a man who is an outsider to Washington.
A warning issued to Trump to beware of ruffling the feathers of the intelligence community was issued by Chuck Schumer:
Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you, Schumer told MSNBCs Rachel Maddow.
Remember, this was before Trump was inaugurated.
NeverTrumper David Frum wrote a tweet that said, CIA message to Trump: you mess with us, get ready for a leakstorm of Biblical proportions.
During the Obama administration whistleblowers were vilified, put under non-disclosure orders, outed, and sequestered away from the public and the media. Don’t forget that. Now that Trump is president whistleblowers are held up as heroes, protected from cross examination, have their claims endlessly quoted in the press, hearsay used as evidence to impeach, protected by the IC, put under high security, and worst of all a stealth status change to allow hearsay whistleblowing from any Joe Blow off the street.
Screw FOIA. We need warrants and RAIDS!.
Is there any part of this utterly rotten government on the side of the people?
Why do we keep calling this person a whistleblower?
Most likely. Definately Schiff was in on it. He said during the hearings that he did not see the whistleblower complaint until this week and had no idea any of this was going on. However, in a tweet he made on Aug 28, he said:
"Trump is witholding vital military aid to the Ukraine, while his personal lawyer seeks help from the Ukraine government to investigate hi political opponent. It doesn't take a stable genius to see the magnitude of this conflict. Or how destructive it is to our national security"
So obviously he knew of the "whistle blower" complaint. He was probably one of the architects.
Democrats in Congress are now demanding the transcripts to ALL of Trump’s communications with ALL world leaders.
Punch back. < /figure of speech >
>>Why do we keep calling this person a whistleblower?
Because it’s more polite than saying “no good c*cksucker”.
We need to name and memos behind the partisan change in the whistleblower rules to permit hearsay. The change to the rules was made days before the whistle was blown.
It certainly seems like the rules were changed specifically so this charge could be made. So what discussions led to the change? FOIA requests are needed. There is no reason for them to be secret.
FOIA requests will take forever and not be thorough. The House will impeach POTUS long before those docs ever see the light of day.
We need public Senate hearings this week. Biden Jr. taking the 5th, the IC IG, Haspel from CIA, etc. If that does not happen it is safe to believe the GOP Senate wants Trump impeached by the House.
..... These people shouldn’t be given so called “Whistle Blower Protection” if they leak to the press rather than passing the information through the proper channels.
Is this why the whistle-blower law was changed to allow hearsay??
We want to know when it was changed, by whom, and what rational was used as a reason?????
Do you have a link that verifies this was changed? I keep seeing claims about such and such(i.e. Ukraine didnt know the aid had been delayed until after the call) and then I spend time trying to find verification and I cant. We need to have verifiable facts to refute this claim because in my opinion his statement of do us a favor is a very poor choice of words and does give the impression that he was trying to pressure the Ukraine.
It was typical Smarmy Pelley.

Intel Community Secretly Gutted Requirement Of First-Hand Whistleblower Knowledge
Federal records show that the intelligence community secretly revised the formal whistleblower complaint form in August 2019 to eliminate the requirement of direct, first-hand knowledge of wrongdoing.
...The internal properties of the newly revised Disclosure of Urgent Concern form, which the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) requires to be submitted under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act (ICWPA), show that the document was uploaded on September 24, 2019, at 4:25 p.m., just days before the anti-Trump complaint was declassified and released to the public. The markings on the document state that it was revised in August 2019, but no specific date of revision is disclosed...
Trump wouldn’t or couldn’t put people in jail for breaking the law and wiping their ass with the constitution; THAT is why these predictable and predicted things have happened. Unless and until Trump acts the attacks will continue to pile up.
Lionel Nation on YouTube, Do you know this guy? He said the same thing this morning.
the actual, for real whistleblower in this whole circumstance is the President and this retributive show trial being orchestrated in the House is about Federal retribution upon a whistleblower (President Trump) for having shone the light of day upon their treasonous, seditious conniving
Lionel Nation agrees with you. So do I.
Thank you.
Mark Simone on WOR, in New York has Lionel as a guest quite often. I always thought that he was a looney liberal but he’s definitely pro Trump.
Democrats are going to have one hell of a price to pay for their stupidity and hate.
Color them gone
This leaker has as much credibility as Christine Blaisly Ford, NONE.
