(CNN) Former US Special Envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker plans to appear at his deposition next Thursday in front of three congressional committees, according to a source familiar with his plans.
The source would not say if the White House is seeking to use executive privilege to constrict Volker in terms of what he can say or provide.

Depositions are generally closed door, but the committees have not clarified if Volker’s deposition will be open or closed.

This sounds like another Deep State operative planted and waiting for the activation call to detonate under the Administration.
Do you have a source for any of what you’re saying, or are you just making assumptions?
My understanding is that, in the course of his interactions with Ukraine’s leaders while trying to negotiate a solution to Russia’s incursion and annexation of their territory, the Ukrainians asked him to facilitate an introduction so they could pass evidence of some unspecified malfeasance by US officials. This might have been 2016 election interference AGAINST Trump by bad-actors in Ukraine (in concert with US black-hats); the Biden corruption that’s apparent; or something else. So he did - as evidenced by the texts Rudy has shown.
What I’ve not seen or heard is anything indicating any sort of setup. Just a lot of assumption and innuendo unsupported by any facts (yet).
