Pennsylvania’s top cop now supports legalizing marijuana

Pennsylvania’s top law enforcement officer is joining several other top state Democratic officials in backing the legalization of marijuana for recreational use by adults.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in a Friday statement on Twitter that he changed his mind after months of internal research and discussions with law enforcement colleagues.

I really don’t think a casual experience with alcohol will cause psychosis It dulls the senses. Pot can send one on a mild trip ( or a heavy trip considering the quality improvement of modern breeds of pot). Pot heightens the senses and can make a weak mind overthink how screwed up they think their lives are. Too much booze will just put you to sleep.

Not really. Different people react differently to booze, just like pot. My long ago experience with pot was pretty uneventful - I have a high tolerance, and it didn't really do much until I built up and it just made me really tired. And decent stuff too - brought by a friend from CO who's really into the different strains and thc and cdb and htc and etc.

At the end of the article...yes,I read it...their is a notice that people need to apply early for possible expungement of non-violent marijuana convictions from their records, should legalization happen Call me cynical, but this may be as much about getting voting rights back to people convucted of cultivation or delivery of marijuana, feroniesc under PA law, I believe, registered to vote, ASAP. Lots of stuff in your everyday life can be dangerous or have big bad results. Why should every manufacturer/seller have to put every little thing on their bottle? People should be responsible enough to take care of themselves and not need Big Brother to require warnings everywhere. Truth in content/labeling is about the only requirement that makes sense.

PA has banned smoking in so many places that it won’t be long before it’s illegal to smoke in your own car.

On October 1st it will be illegal to smoke at all VA hospitals, including in cars. That includes residents who have lived there for decades. That means they will be banned from smoking where they live.

Legalizing weed is absolutely promoting it. Promoting it as an election issue. “Vote for me, I approve of legalizing marijuana”.
