Syndicated conservative talking head Rush Limbaugh falsely claimed to his massive audience this week that Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that enough Senate Republicans would break ranks to remove President Donald Trump from office.

Who on this earth is Trump forbidden to have conversations with? Can’t he talk to anyone he pleases? The democrats think they control Trump’s freedom of speech? Since when?
Well if you had actually listened to the show you would know this headline and opening paragraph of this story is not at all accurate.
It is also Rush’s MO to read from a “stack of stuff” and discuss it. The fact you call that “phoning it in” is just clueless.
No he doesn’t - he reads from what he refers to literally every program as his “stack of stuff” and cites what he is reading from literally every time.
I listen to Rush Limbaugh all the time. He often makes careless mistakes. For example, he kept repeating that Adam Schiff had lied that Trump told Zelinsky to “dig up dirt” on Biden. In fact, Schiff had said “make up dirt” which was a much worse lie. This careless approach to the stories is what I’m referring to.
I’m just not a worshiper.
Limbaugh has been a trailblazing conservative superstar. I listen to him a lot. But if you read discussions here about all the talk show hosts, you’ll see that some folks just adore them, others have some complaints. Hannity is a clear example where a lot of us, as consumers, complain. To such an extent that Hannity once unfairly attacked Free Republic on air as an extremist website.
But I still listen to Hannity as much as I can stand.
Ive been listening to talk radio for about 6 decades and I have my critiques. No big offense intended.
If I have one overriding complaint about all of them, they exist in an internet world where most of us know the news long before they come on the air. But they ALL act like they’re the ones revealing the news each day. That’s why it’s become difficult to follow Rush, Tucker, Sean and Laura all in a row.
My example of a far more intelligent conservative spokesman is Dennis Praeger. But I still find myself listening to Rush. IMHO Rush is not as good as he used to be.
I am not siding with the article or with Romney. One of the original posters criticized Rush’s show in general and I agreed with that. Just my opinion on the show. I despise Romney. I respect Limbaugh. However, it is good if Romney wants to deny the story that he sold out to Pelosi.
I actually find him better. He’s much more willing to take on the establishment than he used to be. During the Bush years it was terrible. None the less, he was still worth listening to.
I used to listen to three or four talk shows. After a while it got to be overload.
I like Dennis Praeger too. He comes into a restaurant I frequent.
Dennis hasn’t always been willing to enter the fray. He may be more interested these days. Years ago, he was more into talking about morality. I think it’s good to have someone out there doing that, don’t get me wrong.
Years ago I listened to Ray Briem, George Putnam, Larry Elder, Dennis Praeger, and Rush. I listen to Rush a few times per week now.
I’m impressed by the leaning of the folks on Instagram. They’re almost as feisty as folks here. They really take it to the Leftists.
Thanks for the additional comments.
