As you drive down the road in your new car with Bluetooth connected to your smart phone, remember the Charlie Brown character Pigpen, and his cloud of dust that surrounded him everywhere he went. When it comes to electronic wireless data, most of us look like Pigpen.

We already have that capability, and have cameras that are deployed over stadiums that can read print that someone has in their hands.
so what is the big deal?

Eh, 500 MP is good but... At that frame size, if you looked at 10000 people that’s just 50,000 pixels per person. That’s basically thumbnail sized images at 223x223 pixels. I seriously doubt there is any facial recognition software that can work with that little data. Obviously if you zoom in and take multiple images panning across a crowd you get better resolution (more pixels per face). But heck, you can do that with a cell phone camera. This isn’t really a drastic or even significant increase in capability as far as I can see.

It’s not the camera. It’s the software that recognizes individuals. China is now into 100% monitoring and control of the citizens. Google wrote software for China to help that along. Guaranteeing you that Facebook helps China control citizens.
Our future if dems are elected.
