Thursday on CNN’s “Inside Politics,” network chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin weighed in on House Intelligence Committee chairman Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) committee hearing that featured acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire on President Donald Trump allegedly urging Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to probe former Vice President Joe Biden.
Trump released the transcript from his call, which appeared to not show any wrongdoing on the president’s part.
Although Democrats have maintained Trump sought to create a quid pro quo with Ukraine, Toobin said Schiff’s fight to prove Trump was involved in impropriety “didn’t really have that much juice to it.”
“There was sort of an air of unreality about it because the complaint and the transcript, the partial transcript, have now been turned over,” Toobin explained. “So, the fight didn’t really have that much juice to it, but that was really what the issue was about.”

If you read his opening remarks you would think it was an SNL skit or something. The other committee members were just staring at him with a WTF look.
Sometimes Jeff Toobin is uncommonly perceptive.
But don’t get used to it. He can manage to waver off the Path to True Enlightenment pretty easily.

Not just a fight. They didn't want it released at all. As Mark Levin just pointed out, the whistleblower "report" is what the wanted to use for impeachment not the transcript. The "report" is a POS full of innuendo and releasing the transcript neutralized it.
If you read through the whole report, it’s written by a guy camped out at the water cooler and collecting intelligence against his own work associates. When his name finally does come out, and these folks discover what he’s collected via them....he’s finished. Not a single comment in the report goes to anything he himself was involved in. It’s worthless intelligence garbage.

The WB report is just a hand grenade, fire starter and time waster. The Dems were alreadying pivoting from it to obstruction in the hearing today. This is also a choreographed and treasonous hit on POTUS.
Instead of lighting rockets off the GOP controlled Senate is once again giving the Dems carte blanche to attack POTUS without substantive push back.

Makes sense. The deep state loved the Cold War and will restart it if they can. Ukraine is a handy tool in their toolbox. They knew Trump would have some issues with Ukraine, knew Trump would call and talk about Ukrainian corruption, knew they could turn it into Trump attacking Ukraine on behalf of Russia, etc.
