Sea levels are rising at an ever-faster rate as ice and snow shrink, and oceans are getting more acidic and losing oxygen, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said in a report issued as world leaders met at the United Nations.

We will probably see snow in northern Alberta tomorrow as well. That’s early. Usually see a snowfall before or on Halloween, but this is silly. I’m still waiting for summer to start (cold and rainy all summer). Summer was very odd for this area.
That NASA data is bogus. It was taken from the JASON satellite with at most an “altimeter will measure sea-level variations over the global ocean with very high accuracy (as 1.3 inches or 3.3 centimeters, with a goal of achieving 1 inch or 2.5 centimeters).”
In other words, their millimter claim of accuracy is taken by a sensor that cannot measure anything under 1.3 inches at best. Also, NASA cannot measure sea height. They are merely measuring millions of points and averaging them. There are no specific points on the seas that provides references points to measure.
In no way can that system measure sea heights in millimeters. As usual with “climate change” liars, the data was manipulated to show sea heights increasing. They leveled it off and showed a drop when it was shown that many places on coastlines were not showing any increase in water height. NASA got caught lying.

Interesting. I’ve had some weird thoughts, too. Like: If radio active material has a half life (i.e., its level of radiation falls by half every so many years—I think it’s 250 years for uranium), does falling radiation levels over time play a role in the evolution of Man? Extrapolating backwards, this place must have been glowing eons ago.

We scientists would never answer such a question off the cuff. Such a question requires proper analysis and not just some random idea.
There certainly is a better method and, unlike you, I know about it.
Thanks! Another thought I had - glacial rebound. The land, and I imagine the ocean crust, is still rising after it had been depressed by the huge amount of ice resting on it.
Before they figured that out, they thought the water levels were dropping - but it was really the water level meters, stuck in the ocean floor near the shore - were rising!
But if they measure the water level from satellites - that might show the water level rising, but it is really everything rising? Hopefully they are smart enough to take glacial rebound into account.
Manmade CO2 is about 0.12% of the greenhouse effect. That’s really small. I imagine there are numerous other factors than can cause apparent sea-level rise that I’ve never heard them consider such as tectonics or glacial rebound. What about comet ice debris? I wonder what the variability in that is. I could easily see that being a cyclical thing as we pass through different parts of the galaxy/ universe with more or less debris.
Just wait until that natural dam (it’s leaking now) between Lac’Assal (lowest pt. in Africa, -155 meters) and the western end of the Gulf of Tadjoura in Djibouti gives way. That will drop ocean levels a bit. lol
