Appearing Wednesday at The Atlantic’s annual ideas festival, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) described the newly-released transcript of a conversation between President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky as “troubling.”
MCKAY COPPINS: The White House just released the call summary between President Trump and the president of Ukraine. What was your reaction? You’ve read it, I assume.
SEN. MITT ROMNEY: I have. My reaction was the same as I had a view days ago, which is this remains deeply troubling and we’ll see where it leads. The first reaction is troubling.
COPPINS: In the summary that we saw, did that amount to a quid pro quo or the implication of a quid pro quo, in your view?
ROMNEY: I don’t know if I’d focus so much on the quid pro quo element as perhaps some do. I’ve said this in my first reaction, if the President of the United States asks or presses the leader of a foreign country to carry out an investigation of a political nature, that’s troubling. Clearly, if there were a quid pro quo that would take it to an entirely more extreme level.

Mitt Romney is troubling. He is a snake who should not even be in the GOP. He will turn on the President and vote with the Anti-American Democrats when he can do the most damage.
Drudge has a red line article from The Washington Post entitled “Republican Cracks Emerge”. The only “cracks” cited in the article are Draft Dodger Mitt Romney who views himself as the new McCain (without the military service) and the execrable Dick Burr who didn’t weigh in on the controversy otherwise but said his committee, which investigated details to the point of whether Trump left the toilet running, would not investigate Biden’s bribery.
There’s very little chance anymore that Romney isn’t dirty AF.
That is the *only* reason he could still be siding with the left.
He’s scared. He needs Trump destroyed to save his own skin.
