President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he has authorized the release Wednesday of a complete trancript of a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The nature of that call during which Trump talked about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter has spurred calls by an increasing number of House Democrats for impeachment proceedings against Trump to begin.
Biden, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president, is expected to say Tuesday that should be impeached if Trump if he stonewalls efforts by Congress to get information about his contact with Ukraine.
The Trump administration has been resisting demands by Congress to release information about a complaint made by a whistleblower in the intelligence community, which is believed to relate to a call Trump had with a foreign leader this summer.
Trumps authorization of the transcript is unlikely to reduce pressure by Congress for information about his suspected linkage of military aid to Ukraine with a willingness by that country to investigate Biden.
Shortly before his call with Ukraines leader, Trump had ordered a hold on $400 million in military aid to that country.
Trump denies that he pressured Zelensky to investigate the Bidens during their July call.
However, Trump and his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani have elsewhere both urged Ukraine to conduct such a probe.

If tone of voice is grounds for impeachment, we would never have another middle school aged American.
I’d show the video of Biden admitting he bribed and threatened Ukraine at the same time.
America can then judge who is lying.
No, no, no, no. See, this is where you misunderstand TDS completely: you absolutely CAN impeach based on tone of voice, but even worse than that — what if he cocked an eyebrow while he said what he said? Ehh? Ehhhh? Now THAT — THAT eyebrow-cocking is COMPLETELY impeachable behavior. No GOP President ought to EVER even DREAM of cocking an eyebrow while on the phone with the leader of foreign State. UNACCEPTABLE!
IMPEACH!
IMPEACH!!
IMPEACH!!!!!

It is possible that Trump is tired of waiting for the do-nothing DOJ and is now going to The People with the evidence.
Reagan got tired of waiting the the GOP to do something and he brought his case to The People
That was sarcasm.

What a magnificent and insightful piece by this BU Professor Emeritus!
It deserves wide circulation among the American populace as a means of enlightenment and preparation for citizenship in a formerly free society, where progressivism has dominated the "public square" for way too long--especially in academic circles.
The writer explains why and how so-called "Progressives" have turned the Founders' ideas of liberty upside down in order to impose the ideas of tyranny on this once-free society, as they have censored the ideas of liberty through the imposition of the tool we call "political correctness."
He states:
"American progressive intellectuals, however, see themselves as the soul of the Democratic Party, which is at the head of Americas ruling class. Not yet having experienced the kind of rejection that their European counterparts have, they revel in their success in changing American culture over the past half-century, and look to Gramscian notions of cultural hegemony as confirming their practice of forcing their own cultural identities onto America. The Democratic Partys constituencies already endorse its intellectuals aim not to convince the rest of society, but to subdue it. For them, this is the Revolution. They have chosen the Leninist rather than the Mussolinian alternative."This, and much, much more insight is brought to the subject of what has happened by this Professor from BU.
Why doesn’t Brad Pascale and other members of the Trump re-election team do some ad buys and play that audio of Biden talking to a liberal group, bragging to them how he, Biden, got the prosecutor in Ukraine fired....the prosecutor who was going to investigate the Ukrainian gas company and Hunter Biden’s association with it?
We’ve all heard the audio of that speech on talk radio. Biden threatens to withhold $1 billion in aid from Ukraine unless they fire that prosecutor.
The Ukrainians say, “You’re not the president!” Biden replies, “You want to talk to him? I can get him on the phone in five minutes!”
Biden then tells the group of moonbats, “Six hours later, I was boarding the plane and the prosecutor had already been fired.” Or words to that effect.
THAT’S the audio the public needs to hear.
That is reversing Biden’s bribery!
Liberals are already saying that Trump is a known liar and will edit the transcript to make himself look good.
There's no winning.
Goalposts moved
Just to be clear, I think the public will see it Trump’s way. No one can convince the democrats, though.
I see this as a tactical win, and strategic loss:
A head of state called another head of state.
The idea that such should be fodder for impeachment - and that Trump should release the content of the call - is profoundly corrosive to our system of government.
I am all for greater transparancy. How about all the declassification on unelected apparatchiks that Ruby Ridge Bill Barr, who now has total control, is not releasing?
No. Instead the duly-elected Commander in Chief cannot even have a private conversation with his peer.
Banana Republic.
Don’t forget all of that transparency we witnessed with the 0blama 0bomination.
No matter how benign the contents of the transcript turn out to be, the Democrat talking point will be :"THIS IS DEVASTATING!!!"
The Rats need to pursue this issue for fundraising.
He’s not outside the reach of the arkanciders.
Something else Trump promised to release is the database naming Congress critters who’ve paid out hush money to victims of sexual harassment.
“Instead of HR, claims are handled by the congressional Office of Compliance. It receives allegations of sexual harassment, salary discrimination and other workplace issues, and pays out settlements with money supplied by the U.S. Treasury if the parties reach an agreement. Since 1997, taxpayers have shelled out $15.2 million.
“Think of it as the Taxpayer Hush Money Fund. You pay, and the complaints go away. Those records arent subject to the federal Freedom of Information Act. The compliance office doesnt disclose the names of congressmen or their aides who reach settlements with their accusers.”
We haven’t seen that yet, in spite of his promise to release it.
I am curious. What did Barr have to do with RubyRidge?
