They are talking about the Iron Range, NE Minnesota. They have been communist-type DFLers forever. It was a union stronghold. Iron miners.
IIRC, they already went right in 2016 & 2018.
The Somali issue, besides Twin Cities area, is riling up the small towns along the western and SW border of MN. While the issue is relevant elsewhere, the small towns are seeing their schools overrun. In one place, they’ve had ~5 school referendums that were defeated.
These are pocketbook, kitchen table and quality of life issues. Enough marginalized areas outside the urban center vote R, they can overwhelm the Twin Cities.
Remember, in the Cities, when gay women are raped and assaulted by Muslims, their *community* pressures them to shut up and not report the attack for *fear* the assailant will be deported. This is well-known by those involved and not reported. So, the bullied (and worse) victims may not vote at all or may vote 3rd party and some may vote R.
Every little bit helps move MN to the R column.
I’m beginning to think this is all about 2024; that the enemies of our republic are laying the groundwork for years of turmoil in the interim. Think of all the emotionally driven petulant brats, climate warrior wannabes, coming out of our school systems charged with this dribble destined to vote for the left.

I think it is, but with the international weights and measures standards you can’t be too sure. Then conversion factors from metric to US figure in so there’s that.
Somewhere in this mix the common “about yay much” needs consideration along with a “scoche”. (Never was solid on the scoche spelling.)
