In all seriousness, that might a reasonable defense these days. If the two arrested teens were clever, they’d tell the cops that the victim made racist remarks earlier.
That wouldn’t get them off (unless you had a crazy jury). But it just might get them a reduced charge. After all, this did happen in Maryland.
