With all the problems in the world, Democratic presidential candidates are focusing on meat.
During a climate change forum hosted by MSNBC on Thursday, longshot candidate Andrew Yang was asked by an audience member about what policy adjustments hed make to curb expansion and reduce the environmental impact of the cattle industry in order to reduce demand.
Cattle is very energy-consuming and energy-expensive. And if you project forward on what we would need to do to reduce emissions, you would want to modify Americans diets over time, Yang said.
Beef is real expensive, paid .77 a pound for chicken yesterday which was a deal.
Heck, it’s already expensive. Has he not seen the price of beef? It averages $10/lb at my dumpy grocery that doesn’t stock anything close to a prime cut. What’s a t-bone? What’s filet mignon?
I think that sound I hear in the distance is a fifteen minute timer going off.
The Yang Gang has it’s share of blindly trusting optimists dreaming of a star trek world free from want, but it also had a large component of useless neckbeards in it. It’s all well and good to say you are going to legalize pot and stuff money into everyone’s pockets so they can stay stoned and p laying videogames in mother’s basement, but don’t you dare mess with their chicken tendies.
Fixed it.
If you do want to tax something, tax anything with High-Fructose Corn Syrup in it.
His pot belly says he eats more than his fair share of something. Look at that, two non-eco friendly plastic disposable drinking containers! He also gets into a gas guzzling car seconds after this picture was taken.
These communists are nuts.
I guess Yang figures promising to do the same to electricity rates didn’t stop Bathhouse Barry getting into the White House, so why not?
Earlier this year a very comprehensive study refuted the hypothesis that cattle farts contribute to global warming. While the left doesn’t talk about cattle farts much anymore, they do still talk about getting rid of meat. This is going to be a thing, it isn’t just outlier crazies.
Decreased supply? Increased demand? Tell me more, Mr. Wizard.
Behavior modification through excessive taxation. Seems when they can’t win an argument, their next stop is the wallet.
And hey, if he gets a hankering for a good steak, he can always raise the people's taxes.
Awesome! Elitism at its finest. 👍
Bring on the Wagyu beef.
"Let them eat steak"
Democrat wanting to remove more choices by the people. I guess Democrats onlyone know how to take from the public.
You have no right to cut down on meat consumption, insane fascist! Humans eat meat, so STFU!
