YANG: I’ll Cut Down On Meat Consumption By Making It Expensive
GP ^ | 09/20/2019 | Joseph Curl

With all the problems in the world, Democratic presidential candidates are focusing on — meat.

During a climate change forum hosted by MSNBC on Thursday, longshot candidate Andrew Yang was asked by an audience member about “what policy adjustments” he’d make to “curb expansion and reduce the environmental impact of the cattle industry” in order to “reduce demand.”

“Cattle is very energy-consuming and energy-expensive. And if you project forward on what we would need to do to reduce emissions, you would want to modify Americans’ diets over time,” Yang said.

We’re headed towards “Demolition Man”....

You see, according to Cocteau’s plan I’m the enemy, ‘cause I like to think; I like to read. I’m into freedom of speech and freedom of choice. I’m the kind of guy likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder - “Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecued ribs with the side order of gravy fries?” I WANT high cholesterol. I wanna eat bacon and butter and BUCKETS of cheese, okay? I want to smoke Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section. I want to run through the streets naked with green jello all over my body reading playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to, okay, pal? I’ve SEEN the future. Do you know what it is? It’s a 47-year-old virgin sitting around in his beige pajamas, drinking a banana-broccoli shake, singing “I’m an Oscar Meyer Wiener”.

So then only the rich will be able to afford meat just like they are constantly trying to make it so only the rich can afford guns and cars.

Part of the people

Punitive taxation has become the norm.
The more you tax something the less of it you get.
Now they want to tax wealth?
They won’t be satisfied until we all are equally poor.

No, not the rich. The CONNECTED. Only Party Members of distinction will have the required PERMISSION to get it.

I saw a video the other night about the origins of the Civil War. Although slavery was one of the top reasons, taxation was the primary reason (huge tariffs on imported items).

You can tell it’s about something else when they want to tax it instead of just outright banning it.

If it’s really bad it would have to totally go away.

It’s sobering to observe that now they’re trying to mess with people’s food supply; also how far away many American households are from self-sustaining food production.

Bring water and George Soros into that equation and Americans are being set up like ducks.

“...you would want to modify Americans’ diets over time,”

Sorry. Here’s the fundamental error. It is not the government’s job or purpose to modify Americans’ anything.

At some point in our nation’s history, it became acceptable for politicians to use taxes to make people behave in ways politicians want them to behave.

Which is how, at the federal level, we have an insane amount of tax law, which makes it hard for everyone. It has created a booming industry of "tax preparation" that further drains money. "If you want less of something, tax it; if you want more of something, subsidize it." It's too bad there is no subsidy for common sense.
