“...Do you think politicians use the term “kitchen table politics” because they think it may resonate with more middle/lower social class folks? Just curious....”
Well, judging from what I know of politicians and they way they think, I’d have to say yes.
The middle class in this country of Ours has always been the great equalizing force in politics. We’re the people who MOVE the Country; we pay the bills, provide the services, string the electric lines, invent the next useful item, propel the economy, do the living and the dying that keeps this wonderful Nation of Ours alive for generations.
Which is why the socialists are trying so hard to disarm and destroy the Middle Class.
Both sides play the game, pretending to be “for the little guy” - but neither of them are. They’re for themselves first and everything else a distant second. They enrich themselves at OUR expense, they stay too long on the “Public Service” tit, all the while getting benefits and perks that neither you nor I will never ever see in our lifetime - and that WE pay for.
Then they look down their noses at us derisively at election time and preach at us, while telling us they’re “fighting for us”.
The ONLY person fighting for me right now is Donald Trump. He’s NOT “One of them” - he’s one of US, and I have his back.
The rest of them can KMA. Aside from a few exceptions, they’re parasites.
