The one twitter post below the video, where the poster says something about how some 40k lives could have been saved if people didn’t have guns.

That person doesn’t understand that perhaps twice or three times or more lives, have been saved by people who do carry guns. And, it’s a huge deterrent to criminals if they understand that people might be carrying guns; imagine if criminals knew that all people were defenseless because they couldn’t own and/or use guns.

Besides, the right to bear arms is about the right of citizens to protect themselves against a government gone corrupt and tyrannical. That people use guns to protect themselves is a huge bonus.

I guess that person on Twitter who posted about the 40k killed either hasn't heard the other side of the story, or refuses to acknowledge the other side, or doesn't know how the millions of lives saved TRUMPS the (unfortunate) number of lives who died at the hands of criminals (insane or not).
