Center-left candidate Benny Gantz declares victory over Benjamin Netanyahu in the Israeli elections, and is rejecting the prime ministers call for negotiations over leading the government.
Gantz issued a statement Thursday saying, I am interested in and intend to form a broad and liberal unity government under my leadership. He also said, the process of building a government has begun, and we will not be dictated to.
This comes after Netanyahu offered to build a broad coalition government with Gantz amid a tight election. Netanyahu proposed a rotating premiership among the two leaders.
The people chose unity, the people want for Israel to be before everything, stated the prime minister. And therefore, Blue and White under my leadership won the elections Blue and White is the biggest party.
The two must sides must now come together to form a coalition government or else face an unprecedented third election.

Some are. The "Center-Left" (read: LEFT) candidates also got the Muslim-Jew Hater vote.
Amazing that this is what happens to a nation with "diversity."
Sort of like allowing criminals a vote in what the state should do about crime.
Goodbye, Israel. It was nice to know you.
Indeed! Look up! Maranatha!
Israel has had them in the past. But Gantz won't let him go first as Prime Minister and Netenyahu may be in jail by the time his chance came around.
Center-left candidate Benny Gantz, leader of the Israeli suicide party will: immediately make peace with the muslims offering up as much land as they demand; move the capital back to Tel Aviv; offer money to any Jew willing to leave Israel proper; offer military training and equipment to Gaza; downsize all branches of the military; reach an accommodation with Hezbollah; stop any military action against Iranian assets in Syria and elsewhere; withdraw from the Golan; begin the move back to the 49 lines; activate the right of return.
Israel: say good by.
Unless Soros stole the election with millions of fake votes I dont see how this could happen and how many idiots and Israel could have possibly voted to give their country away/
People get tired of hearing the media endlessly criticizing leaders right of center and want to go back to the peaceful bliss of a sheep’s life under the media-proclaimed, wise protectorate of a leftist leader.
So you could say: “Unless Soros stole the election with millions of fake votes I dont see how this could happen and how many idiots and Americans could have possibly voted to give their country away.”
Got it. Weird system. We are fortunate to have our Constitution and not the parliamentary crap many of our allies have.
Netanyahu always does negotiate through strength, and is even willing to take turns.
Netanyahu being "willing" to take turns is moot. Likud lost the election with 31 seats in the Knesset to B&W's 33. Netanyahu is not "negotiating from strength" ... he's frantic to retain the premiership for cover against possible indictments.
BTW, after the April election Likud and Blue & White were actually TIED in the Knesset with 35 seats each. "Taking turns" would have been logical then --- but Netanyahu was not "willing" to do this.
Actually, Netanyahu's strategy to depress the Arab-Israeli's vote backfired this time. No one could energize the Arab-Israeli population as well at Netanyahu did. He has only himself to blame.
Netanyahu didn't win the election in April. Likud tied with Blue & White. Netanyahu was given the first shot at forming a government. When he couldn't, the normal course of action was for the President to select another MK to try.
Rather than do this Netanyahu dissolved the Knesset and called for new elections. During this time he remained Prime Minister, albeit without a parliament.
The elections he called for did not turn out as he had hoped.
In Israeli politics, Benjamin Netanyahu is the quintessential deep state. He has been at or near the top of the political food chain since the days of Bush 41. He has been Prime Minister, alone, for a total of 13 years.
After his election win in 2015 Netanyahu served as Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Communications Minister. It doesn't get more deep state than this.
Maybe. It depends on his plea deal or jury verdict.
“Netanyahu being “willing” to take turns is moot.”
Taking turns would be logical.
Benny is PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Bibi is PM on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday
Saturdays via alphabetical order would be rotated, Benjamin then Benny.
On Jewish Holidays, each would work a 12 hours shift as PM.
It is a very bold proposal by Bibi.

Sounds like a “joint custody” agreement for the children : )
Someone posted Caroline Glick explanation of the elections on FR. Our press does not understand Israeli politics.
The two must sides must now come together to form a coalition government or else face an unprecedented third election.
Bibi wants to, Benny doesn't. Either Israel heads for a third election, or Bibi forms the gov't without Benny.
Netanyahu government is officially a proponent of the two-state solution, as is will be the Gantz government. The difference is the conditions for such a solution.
Actually I agree with that. It was coming either way.
How we get their exactly, I don’t know. But it’s going to happen.
I’ve watched Bibi a few times. He’s basically using the same phrase (in a more roundabout way) that the Globalists have been selling for decades for the “two-state solution”.
They have no idea what’s coming.
Truthfully, Americas aid to Israel is really bribery to maintain commitment to a two-state solution. Such influence over Israel has been part of the price of cheap oil from Arab/Muslim sources.
