Sorry...just can’t stomach this bullshit. There is NO ambiguity in the Second Amendment. There is NO ‘gray area’ in the Second Amendment...except what the libturds conjure up out of their cauldron of hate.
It may well be time to water the tree of liberty, as Jefferson observed...

If it looks like this is going to pass, gun owners should fight for a “sunset clause” to be included as was done with the original “assault weapons ban”, with a requirement to assess effectiveness after, say, five years. If gun crime isn’t reduced by, say, 50%, the legislation is automatically repealed.

If you read the article at the source trump has not approved. If you believe that, I've got a fine bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

They know exactly what they are doing and that this will make no difference. They don’t care, It’s not about the mass shootings at all.

It is simple clarification of the Republican 2020 election strategy of "snatching (absolute) defeat from the jaws of (probable) victory".
When this abomination gets to the President's desk, he'll have two choices:
- Sign it, thereby conceding the 2020 election very early; OR
- Veto it, thereby choosing to serve the Nation in the WH for four more years.
IMHO, there is no other possibility!

Thank you for the update Windflier, I was wondering how this was being approached. :)

This document has been disavowed by Trump and Barr.
Perhaps it was a trial balloon, which is bad, but the balloon has popped.

Another tweet from same article:
“An update from the White House: Hogan Gidley tells me that just because WH legislative director Eric Ueland is among those pushing this on the Hill, it does NOT mean Trump himself has signed off on it. “Not even close.”

Constitutionally the states have no say in the matter. Privileges and immunities, the rights of U. S. citizens. To think otherwise allows the states to violate your rights. Shall not be infringed.

If you sell the gun to someone you know and dont advertise the sale you wont have to check them out. Oh how wonderful. To whom do we send our thanks for this bit of graciousness and tolerance?
