Andrew McCabe Says He Won’t Take A Plea Deal ‘Under Any Circumstances’ If Indicted

A defiant Andrew McCabe said Tuesday he will not “under any circumstances” accept a plea deal if indicted for lying about leaks to the press.

Federal prosecutors in Virginia are pushing for charges against McCabe, a former FBI deputy director, for allegedly making false statements to the FBI and Justice Department’s office of the inspector general (OIG) regarding his authorization of a leak to the media in October 2016.

“Will you take a deal in order to go on with the rest of your life if there is no big criminal attachment — you don’t have to do any time or anything like that?” CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked McCabe in an interview.

“Absolutely not, under any circumstances,” said McCabe, who joined CNN as an analyst Aug. 23.

“No deal?” Cuomo asked.

“Absolutely not, under any circumstances,” McCabe repeated.

“I have said to you, I said from the very beginning, I absolutely reject that report because I never intentionally misled anyone about anything, and I will not stand up and claim that I’ve done something that I didn’t do.” (RELATED: CNN Hires Andrew McCabe)

“So it won’t happen.”

Yeah a black jury won’t find a dirty white cop guilty. I wouldn’t dismiss the possibility and probability that a DC jury will do the right thing. What about the Freddy Gray case in Baltimore?

I served on a jury in the DC area. I used to have reservations about the ability of juries to be fair and impartial. However, after serving on one involving a murder, my confidence in the system was reinforced. There is an interesting dynamic that takes place on a jury. People take the responsibility seriously and try to be fair and impartial. Jury nullification is rare. In the case of dirty cop McCabe, a DC jury will not be sympathetic to his breaking of the law.

“I never intentionally misled anyone...”

Ah, well, if there was no criminal intent, then we have to let him go. It’s the Hillary standard.

There can’t be any “change of venue” unless the defendant requests it.

In other words, look for a negotiated plea.

The only plea deal that should be offered Mr. McCabe if convicted of conspiracy to overthrow the US Government is a
choice between hanging and self immolation.

Below is a picture of our government, when it was capable of doing it’s duty, hanging John Wilkes Boots pals.

What happened to “If I get indicted, I am taking everyone down with me” ???

That only works if you are granted immunity in a plea deal...

They actually want you to believe that this Cuomo-McCabe interaction hadn’t been rehearsed a zillion times prior to it being conducted on air?

What happens if they run the Grand Jury out of NOVA, that could be a problem for him. This might be done in the National Security division in Alexandria.

If McCabe is indicted in Virginia he won't have the heavy dem jury and will likely have a more aggressive prosecutor.
