Fort Worth ISD Teacher Officially Dismissed Over Anti-Immigration Tweets Following Appeal

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The Fort Worth ISD teacher who was fired in May after posting controversial anti-immigration tweets to President Donald Trump, will not get her job back.

The school board on Tuesday again unanimously voted to terminate Georgia Clark’s contract.

After being fired, she appealed her termination.

Tuesday’s decision is final.

Clark was let go after posting a string of illegal immigration comments to President Donald Trump from a now-deleted Twitter account.

One of the tweets said, “Mr. President, Fort Worth Independent School District is loaded with illegal students from Mexico. Carter-Riverside High School has been taken over by them. Drug dealers are on our campus and nothing was done to them.”

The Board’s vote on Tuesday was taken after their consideration of the recommendation of a certified hearing examiner assigned by the Texas Education Agency to review the matter of Fort Worth Independent School District v. Georgia Clark, FWISD explained in a news release.

More proof that 99% of local school boards are infested with disgusting leftists. Everything the fired teacher said is true. It is much WORSE than she paints it. But the truth is obscene to the left today.

To the leftists, these illegal alien drug dealers are or will be valuable voters who will vote for the Democrats to take your money and guns.

Well, now the person can sue the school board. The school board can do whatever they want, but the law is the law...

It’s official, standing up for the rule of law can get you fired.

It’s not our country anymore.

What did she do wrong?

Asking for help?

I thought asking for help is a good thing.

Gee, in New York State a union teacher can murder somebody and continue drawing full pay and benefits until they exhaust all of their legal appeals.

What is the Texas state legislature doing about this?

My question exactly.

I’m guessing that the legislature defers heavily to the elected state school board for decision making. And that state school board is every bit as corrupt as Fort Worth’s.

She told the absolute truth in that tweet.

Yes, she did, but I think Orwell said, THAT is a revolutionary act. I know it sucks, but that’s where we find ourselves. 👎

She embarrassed the school district. Truth is not really a defense in such matters. Her statement that drug dealers were on campus and nothing was being done made the district look bad. Not saying that it’s right, but that is how it is.

controversial anti-immigration tweets

Not "controversial."

Not "anti-immigration."

Pro-American and anti-illegal alien border law violator.

Just more proglib drivel expounding "Truth over facts."

In every instance we see the prog's "truth" will circle around and kick there butts up around their ears.

Will the progs ever learn from reality and facts over "truth?"

.

Unless she was subject to a contract that forbade her from posting comments regarding the school system, she has a great lawsuit. It seems to me that the school board - a government agency - has just denied her the right to free speech (by penalizing it, and heavily at that) under color of law. That’s a Title 42, Section 1983 lawsuit coming the way of the school board AND its individual members - they are expressly NOT protected by the fact that they are public employees.

Oh, btw, where is the teachers’ union? Don’t unions fight like Hell for every penny, and for job security, etc. for their members? Off course, those are rhetorical questions - we all know that the teachers’ union - ANY of them - are extremely Leftist, so they’ll only defend their members if those members toe the line. Kind of like “women’s rights” organizations and how they act when some liberal pol sexually abuses some woman or several women (Billy Jeff, please go to the nearest white courtesy phone, you have a call).

I hope that this teacher goes to Federal Court with this - because it’ll wind up in the Fifth Circuit, which is noted for not kow-towing to liberal orthodoxy (that’s a bit of an understatement).
