Right-wing factions convened at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem Wednesday afternoon, deciding to establish a "right-wing bloc" headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu, that will work for the establishment of the next government.
It was decided to form a joint coalition negotiations team for all factions in the bloc.
In addition to Netanyahu, the meeting saw the participation of Minister Yariv Levin and faction heads: Yaakov Litzman, Moshe Gafni, Naftali Bennett, Ayelet Shaked, and Bezalel Smotrich.
Minister Aryeh Deri met with Prime Minister Netanyahu earlier this morning, as he was unable to attend the meeting due to the memorial ceremony for the late Minister David Azulay.

Whatever happened to the Popular Front, Reg?
He’s over there.
SPLITTER!
I’ve only seen excerpts, but I appreciate Flying Circus humour.
great news!
All of Israel's troubles can be traced back to it being founded as a secular state.
Better news than the USA MSM was predicting!
I’m intrigued by the name of the United Torah Judaism party. Were there originally five parties which decided to unite?
With Liberman, Shas and Torah watchamacallit, it has the necessary mandates.
Amen
Who knows. It’s mostly about money for institutions.
Really? So all the “Peak Bibi” hokum Drudge has been spewing for the last few days is nonsense?
Don’t know to what you’re referring.
MSM is always wrong.
Last few days Drudge has been practically celebrating the end of Bibi.
It doesnt mean Bibi has won anything. It just means that the parties in his coalition are going to remain united for now.
It means the right bloc would prefer yet another election to a unity government, and Netanyahu seems to agree with them. But its just an opening bargaining position.
My guess is that Liberman joins the Leftist parties, and the Left makes a deal with Arabs not to obstruct, leaving a minority government headed by Gantz.
Ok, but someone needs to define “right wing” as it applies to Israel politics.
The communists and socialists and the appeasers and galut suicide mentality types I am used to. All these have afflicted the Jewish community for a long time, alas. Like cancers within. Youd think they learn better but not. What mystifies me is this Lieberman fellow. Whats his game ( and/ or mental affliction)?
The problem is Lieberman doesnt like the haredim and they dont like him.
Which kind of complicates what government can be formed unless everyone is ready to make the necessary compromises.
Af the back of the politicians minds is the knowledge there is no guarantee of any of them doing better in a new election.
I think it Israel you have “up wing” & “down wing” as well as “right wing” & “left wing”!
UTJ combines Degel non-hasidic with Agudat hasidic, two religious groups.
Everyone is talking about a national unity government. I assume that whoever is PM, the other guy would be the deputy and would also get the Foreign or Defense Ministry in it.
