—Devastate a country and leave
—Be conquerers.
The crap we are doing is not working.
GHWB had the right idea in the first Gulf War. He even left a bloodied Sadamm in place to keep Iran in check. GWB’s wars of occupation have been disasters.
Perhaps with a few exceptions we have not fought a war for the purpose of actually winning it since. Ww2. We flattened Dresden and nuked southern Japan off the face of the Earth. That is how you win wars. Period.
Everything we wanted to accomplish in Afghanistan, we've accomplished -- removing the Taliban from power, installing a US friendly government and killing Osama Bin Laden and most of those responsible for 9/11.
Agreed. Go full Carthage if there's another attack. Kill every living thing in iran. And tell the Turks they're next, just because.
