Why would this be “stand your ground” when the intruders were inside his home? Why not straight up self defense?
Is Georgia a state that expects homeowners to retreat from intruders?
Guilty of not reading this article which says it all took place in the yard.
The article I read yesterday said it was home invasion by masked men.
“Why would this be stand your ground when the intruders were inside his home?”
LOL! READ THE ARTICLE!
Unsure, but I don't believe so.
In California, every effort would be made to entrap the homeowner into an admission that he violated one of the California Gun Law trickery provisions, and he would be prosecuted under any circumstances using his legal costs as punishment.
Liberals want you to let yourself be killed, and maybe raped first. This is to make up for white privilege.
“Why would this be stand your ground when the intruders were inside his home?”
It would not. Reporters know absolutely nothing about what they report.
If you go to the article it appears the shoot out may have occurred in the yard, outside the home.
It’s my understanding the shooting occurred in his front yard when the “youths” tried to force him back inside for a robbery.
Ga. is a stand your ground state.
In Georgia we have stand your ground and castle doctrine. Trust me the shooter is covered.
Stand your ground in GA means you have no duty to retreat if you are engaged in a lawful activity. Castle Doctrine here in GA means you can protect your home. Either likely can be used in this case for the late brothers and their friend.
