The latest figures include 35% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -6. (see trends).

50-49 means there aren’t many undecideds!

And, like many here, I think the 50 is somewhat understated. I’d never answer a poll like this—figuring it would go on my permanent record for future marketing. I think that conservatives are more likely to be suspicious of giving out unnecessary information than liberals. I wonder whether the polling companies have figured this out and quantified it for their internal use, that is, where they are interested in the actual sentiment rather than in the manipulation thereof through their published results.

Obama wasn’t that high and he had all the media, Hollywood, colleges and numerous other outlets praising him. Trump has the complete opposite——and polling higher. Amazing is right, hopefully a great awakening is happening?

Very true.

We all.know we can pencil in California, New York, Illinois, and a number of others right now for whoever the Democrat nominee will be.

Ditto as far as many states such as the Great Plains farm states, which will vote for Trump .

How many states will really decide this election? Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota?

The Daily Poll is worthless. I remember when USA Today had that daily tracking poll back in 1992 election, it was actually fairly accurate as compared to today.

So I put no credence in it.

Thank you. I say that all the time. National polls are utterly worthless as we have 50 separate elections in a presidential race.

If Trump is over 50% in states he won in 2016 - the race is already over. Even if Trump is polling 20% in CA and NY.

Ditto. I do not respond to polls - online or in person - at all. I don't trust the leftists and who might be compiling a profile.

The only thing even remotely like that I'll do is review a seller on Amazon, or on the rare occasions we go out to eat I may rate the place on Yelp.

50-49 means Trump wins in record landslide. Trump supporters do not participate in polling by phone but by booth.
