President says hes locked and loaded to attack Iran
As President Trump warned that the US is locked and loaded to respond to the drone attack on Saudi Arabias oil supply this past weekend, Senator Rand Paul warned that hitting Iran would be a big mistake.
Appearing on CNN, Paul warned that any attack on Iran would constitute a needless escalation of war.
The Iraq War, President Trump has said, was the biggest geopolitical blunder of the last generation, Paul said.
It destabilized the Middle East and increased the strength of Iran and tipped the balance toward Iran, the Senator added.
Paul also had stern words for Rep. Liz Cheney, who earlier in the day proclaimed that the US should deny visas for Iranian diplomats at the United Nations General Assembly meeting this fall.
There was nothing good about the Iraq war and Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney and John Bolton still dont get it. They are still advocating for more regime change in the Middle East. Paul declared.

Could care less how it happened. If Rand was a man the neighbor wouldn’t have thought to do that to him.
Hope you never have it happen to you.
“Hope you never have it happen to you.”
It won’t. I’m not a wussy that anyone would try that on, not like Rand. He’s a limp wristed target waiting for it to happen again.
Pretty sure that was Trump’s first overseas trip. That Gulf alliance did do most of the heavy urban fighting eliminating ISIS from Mosul and a couple of other cities. They have some world class special ops people. We’ve been calling UAE “Little Sparta” for some time now. They may not have size but they do have fight.
I suspect the President has corrective action underway as we speak.
I expect so. In 2017 he let a local commander order a MOAB hit that cleaned out an ISIS stronghold as well as about 500 Paki “allies” who were helping them. I doubt that the Iranians will get off any easier.
The IRG is supposed to have a bunch of island bases in the gulf that should make swell targets.
I hope we take out the firing platforms completely and a few more for good measure.
Agreed
Relax, Rand. Trump’s got this. The forces that attacked the Saudi’s are the same forces that will do anything they can to derail an Iranian peace deal. There are forces within Iran that would like to sabotage a peace deal with Trump. Don’t view Iran as a monolith. Their government has factions just like our own. Trump is negotiating with the moderates while CIA/Gloablist elements in Iran wish to derail any such deal. President Trump is too smart to be lured into a generalized attack on Iran that would cause significant civilian damage or cause political harm to the Iranian moderates who would like to make a peace deal with Trump. Instead he will direct any response towards those militant factions within Iran that are responsible for the attacks.
We really annoy the Russians with our constant persecution based on their actions in Georgia, Ukraine etc. Actions that have been more restrained than what we would do in our hemisphere IMO.
But, I think most Russian leadership privately considers China to be real threat, based on their population, modernizing and huge military, and rather bellicose attitude. The public stance is conciliatory but they are worried.
