Furthermore, it’s not what Biden says in prepared remarks that’s problematic, it’s what he says off the cuff and under pressure that to me reveal an antiquated view on racial matters and racial sensitivities.
It was the way he advocated for the 1994 crime bill, a bill that contributed to America’s surging mass incarceration, which disproportionately affected black and brown people in this country.
The bill did some good, but the harm it did cannot be overlooked or understated. Rather than fully owning up to to the disastrous aspects of the bill, Biden has over the years bragged about it and defended it.
It was in the way he described then-candidate Barack Obama in 2007 as an African-American who was “articulate and bright and clean.” Clean? As opposed to what?
This critique of Biden isn’t personal. I bear no ill will for the man. But, a fact is a fact, and no amount of growth, change or well-intentioned good-heartedness has the ability to erase it.

It should be obvious to anyone familiar enough with politics that Biden was one of those types who started off by being a fixture at his local Democrat club house running errands, being a gopher and all the while ingratiating himself with those in power, getting to know the real players along the way and steadily moving up the ladder of getting in to position to be noticed by the big players and when the time was right he ran for the Senate and won. He never knew anything about American history or world history or even bothered to learn. A ten year old honor student could make this half wit look like a dribbling idiot on any subject under the sun. Biden is the ultimate political hack, a man who has an opinion on everything and understands nothing. he’s dumb as a post and it’s showing. When you’re a Democrat and you’ve lost the New York Times it’s over. Throw in the towel and go home Joe. No one is listening to you. You’re a joke. And a bad one at that.
