NOPE. = SORRY. The arms room card, from 1917 reads PVT Alvin C. York & it’s a so-called “P17 Enfield”, made by REMINGTON at EDDYSTONE rifle factory.

The MOST COMMON main battle rifle of WWI was the Model of 1917, i.e., the “American Enfield”, which imVho is a BETTER battle rifle than the 1903 Springfield ever was.

Nope, it was the American Enfield. York actually preferred it over the Springfield.
