The movie about him was roughly accurate and a very good movie.
Only Walter Brennan could have portrayed Pastor Pyle, Jumping around, singing “That Old Time Religion” while York accepted Christ, and not looked ridiculous.
I thought the best scene was where Gary Cooper whistles a turkey call, a German soldier pops his out head to see what’s going on, and York takes him out with one shot.
