Thanks for the info. There’s probably a 50/50 chance I’ll buy another vehicle before I die. I had considered Ford, because I thought they were a well run company. But if they have problems with their products, I don’t want anything to do with them.
Honda’s and Toyota’s products seem to be the most consistently highest rated vehicles. Im quite comfortable with my Honda CRV. I can get into and out of it easily and I haven’t had any major problems with it. It has about 145,000 miles on it. There are some dings on it, but just because of sloppy driving (one by me, the other by what’s-her-face). Vintage 2005.
Most of the cars that poster mentions are over 9 years old. The LTD wasnt made after 1991, 28 years ago. The entire Mercury brand was taken out back and shot in 2010 so thats the newest the Mariner could potentially be and I suspect the one they are referencing is considerably older. The Mustang? Who knows.
That said, Ford has stopped making/selling cars (as opposed to SUVs, CUVs, crossovers, trucks, etc) as of this year except for the Mustang and something called an EcoSport.
