The question arises, how did CA get this authority in the first place?

I think it was the LA Basin Smog problem back in the 60’s.

They should have just gone with Jethro Bodine’s idea to install big Fans on the Mountaintops to blow it all away.

That and start using more Chevron Gas with the F-310 Additive.

Those smug Communists at the CARB know that whatever standards they set for their state will be followed by New York and be forced on the rest of the USA.

Conceptually, it's no different than eliminating the Electoral College...

then after the gas cans, get gas stations to sell non-ethanol gas.

The Maverick stations here do that. It's 10%/gal more expensive than gasahol, but you get 10% better mileage.

Many Minnesota stations have non-oxi gas, for around 30 cents a gallon more. Michigan has some, and they rape ya for it.

But, boy, is it better for fuel systems. Can store equipment for winter without all the pot metal growing white fuzz.

Choice is the key. E85 is an excellent fuel for supercharged engines. I wish it was available everywhere. Absent that, how about refining premium gas to 105 octane, like it used to be before the gas thieves took over. Yes I know I date myself.

Cripes...I’m such a “duh me” ! I was thinking maverick as “gypsy”.
Turns out there is Maverik gas. There’s one half way close to me...alas(alas ?) all ethyl.

It would definitely be nice to get rid of those standards and allow everyone to simply sell real gas. But, here's what you're stuck with:

President Donald Trump met with senior officials on Thursday at the White House to discuss the administration’s plan to divide its August 2018 proposal to rollback Obama era standards through 2025 and revoke California’s waiver under the Clean Air Act to set state requirements for vehicles, the people said.

Actions such as this, more than the wall, more than anything else, is why I voted for Donald Trump.

Perhaps a difference between Illinois and Nevada?

Thanks for the list, I bookmarked it!

Looks like MI has ethanol free gas all over the state. It’s worth the extra $1.50 a gal to use it in lawnmowers, small engines, boat motors, and chain saws.

Worse, I wanted to ship a vehicle home to the Philippines. Yep, the vehicle needed to meet California emissions and MPG standards.

Stooopid.

Uh-oh -- now we're on a *dangerous* slippery slope where unconstitutional 'laws' suddenly become illegal. Thanks Libloather.
