ATF already has a data base of federal firearm transferees known as the National Firearms Registry and Transfer Record (NFRTR). If you have a legal suppressor, machine gun, SBR, SBS, AOW or Destructive.Device your name and other vitals are a federal record....

So these are the people that the President is reportedly compromising with. We’ll see.

Listing every firearm and it’s serial number?

That would take a while. And it seems hard. So I am not gonna do that, OK.

And we all know what happened to the real Spartacus.

These politicians just want to make up dictatorial laws now.

Phuck that noise!

I left New Jersey 19 years ago for Texas. Wild fire alarms are not my primary reason for leaving, they were a decided benefit. I will be damned if I’m going back to living under a system like New Jersey where you have to register every single fire all you have, and get permission to buy them in the first place. That is not a right, that is a privilege.

Federal licences to vote.

Federal licences for reporters.

Federal licences for priests and rabbis (mullahs are exempt.)

Mark

They’ll claim that free speech was only intended for the press, and not an individual right. You watch.

When I first saw the headline I couldn't help myself but to laugh out loud. 😂 But I've had a few beers. Election season is so intertaining.

I’m NOT sure that DUMB-bunny Booker is either a traitor and/or a domestic enemy, as it takes at least SOME actual intelligence & discernment to BE either of those things.

Booker is a DUNCE of the 1st Class.

hmm. Will some Republican Senator introduce a bill that will require that those wanting an abortion get a license prior to obtaining an election. How about getting a license prior to receiving public assistance?

I mean fair is fair, they are sort of rights, at least in the minds of Democrats.

Cory Booker's precious gun registration scheme will not apply to criminals who are not legally allowed to own guns. Only law-abiding citizens will be subject to such a law.

See Haynes vs United States.

Miles Edward Haynes appealed his conviction for unlawful possession of an unregistered short-barreled shotgun. His argument was ingenious: since he was a convicted felon at the time he was arrested on the shotgun charge, he could not legally possess a firearm. Haynes further argued that for a convicted felon to register a gun, especially a short-barreled shotgun, was effectively an announcement to the government that he was breaking the law. If he did register it, as 26 U.S.C. sec.5841 required, he was incriminating himself; but if he did not register it, the government would punish him for possessing an unregistered firearm -- a violation of 26 U.S.C. sec.5851. Consequently, his Fifth Amendment protection against self- incrimination ("No person... shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself") was being violated -- he would be punished if he registered it, and punished if he did not register it. While the Court acknowledged that there were circumstances where a person might register such a weapon without having violated the prohibition on illegal possession or transfer, both the prosecution and the Court acknowledged such circumstances were "uncommon." The Sumpreme Court concluded, in an 8-1 vote:

"We hold that a proper claim of the constitutional privilege against self-incrimination provides a full defense to prosecutions either for failure to register a firearm under sec.5841 or for possession of an unregistered firearm under sec.5851."
