House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to discuss the issue with reporters. On the TV show "Arrested Development", the matriarch of the Bluth family (who vaguely reminds me of Nancy Pelosi) would sometimes say (very archly): "I don't understand the question, and I will not respond to it."
